Drivetrain ***OFFICIAL SIGN-UP THREAD for FLASH TOOL***
Will probably give it a go, later in the week or weekend.
Got my tool yesterday
I downloaded my base ECU map and sent to Jan and within ONE HOUR got an updated mapping.
I will be uploading the new map today.
I agree with the super(J)an post earlier. Such quick turn around time.
THANKS JAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

So can anyone confirm if the tool will only read out one firmware?
The MA is flashing the "new" firmware to my mini as we speak so I have waited to marry the tool to the car until this is done. Question is, what if MA says they need to reflash some "newer" firmware some time later... will that mean that the tool will no longer work with my car?
I'm assuming that minor revisions to the mini firmware are tolerable by the tool. Major revisions are definitely not recognized and ill advised to try to put a mod file from an older firmware on a newer firmware.

My MPG are back at 30 or so highway. That earlier post about getting 24MPG was due to a heavy foot.
Has anyone noticed that the coolant temp is way down since the tune. Prior to the tune the coolant temp in my car was at 220. I took my Scangauge out for a while and put it back in the other day. Now I notice that coolant temp is at 177. Any ideas?

On another note, does anyone see any issues if I were to reflash the ecu with the new tune the day I got the car? I know everyone's view of break-ins differ, but it's just a tune? Aside from the temptation to floor it more often what could go wrong?
A/C is always on. Well the light is any way. I will turn it off all together tomorrow and go for a ride to see what happens.
holy #### Holy #####!!!!! I cannot believe the difference!! It is almost unstable it is so fast! When you hit boost with this tune... You are gone! I now pull past 145mph like I am pushing past 60mph before! (I did not have a chance to run it any faster as I had to get off of the autobahn)
I think now i need to lower it for a little more stability!
Jan, WELL DONE!!!

Hey David in Deutsch Land, I'm LMAO!! Kinda startling ain't it? 2nd gear hair pins are now hell on the tires, but all the bugs in the teeth are worth it.
