Haha couldn't live without it!

Ideally I need water/meth injection...because even if your IAT's are running a few degree's above ambient with the Helix FMIC, well they are still too damn hot!

But its world's better than the stock IC...during the summer with the stock IC, and running Jan's tune, I'd see IAT's get up around 155 degrees . And once they get up that high, they just don't recover all that well. So, the Helix is a life saver! Or should I say...motor saver?

Been away a while so sorry for asking if its already been answered but here goes:
Is there a fix for the 3k hesitation? What about the 1st gear issues? Pop and burble? :D

What does everyone think about this new alta tune?

I was able to get a new file from Jan awhile back to fix the 3kish hesitation. This has been fixed for me for the most part. I have noticed the other day that now I have a slight hesitation around 2500k? Not sure but I feel like it goes away? Need to keep a eye on it closer All and all the car runs stronger then ever and thanks to Jan.

I want pop and burble !

J

Thanks again for the tune Jan, and more importantly, thanks for spending some time after the dyno time to fine-tune it. I wish I lived closer so you could use my car for more testing, but thank god for the flash tool. Looking forward to additional updates and even more power!

I'm confident the next time he gets his hands on an R56 for some test time, the 1st gear boost limiter is going to be no more. He was really close with mine I think.

I asked Jan about this since I traded my other Mini in. He said he thinks Dimsport can send him a file for a fee to reset the tool so it can be used again. Will have to wait out August due to Europe being on vacation for the month.

yes, dimsport has said it's $150 to reset the tool
you then can use it on Porsche/BMW or Mini

So, does the tune cause cells when you flash it for automatics? If it does this is the first I have heard of it.

Yes, flashing the ECU sets two codes on an automatic, at least on my automatic it sets two. I've been able to clear them with my ScanGaugeII. I don't recall if the other automatic at our tune party last month had 1 or 2 codes set during the flash but it did set codes with it as well so it isn't just my MCSa.

Mine doesn't register any codes while driving it (except the ones related to my DP), the only codes I get are were when it is flashed. It is a transmission related coded. The tune makes a lot of power and I've had no issues with it.
