Yet another question about the power drop off I described in post #696. Could excessive carbon buildup on the intake valves be the cause? The reason I ask is that I did my first SeaFoam treatment yesterday @ 23K and the improvement in idle, throttle response and power was significant. Doing one more treatment today, but still plan on having a compression, leak down and cam timing check when back from AMVIV. Thanks for any help.

Second that question. Let's say you have a custom Jan dyno tune running all happy. Now what if dealer flashes the car to compensate for bigger front rotors and shoes you just installed on your stock r56. Now when you take your car home to "undo" the dealer maps... would the "Jan Tune" file only flash the maps or is it going to totally reflash the whole ecu?

If you already have a custom tune file on file for my car, would that be included in the "$369 shipped in the US" or do I need to shell out another 500$?

 

Maybe you have a bad cam sensor but then again Chompers R56 Cooper S produced 180ish whp after a tune.

 

You'd just pay for the device, $369.

1, This thread is getting ridiculously huge. I'd like to politely ask that folks post to this thread only what is directly related to Jan's flash tool and tune, and anything related to unique configurations and other mods be put in their own new thread.

2, I'd also like to ask Jan if he could start a new thread specifically for updates on the status of of the flash tool, one that only he would update so it doesn't get cluttered up with chatter.

Sorry, don't mean to be a buzzkill, but every day I check this thread to see if there are any updates from Jan, and every day there's a whole new page of posts that are marginally related to it.

Thanks to fellow member N1tro's idea, I'm going to send a mass PM'ing message to all those that haven't paid.

Perhaps with the cluttering and length of this thread, many have either gotten tired of checking the thread or simply forgotten to pay for the tool.

As it stands now, we have 68 people that have paid. If you see your buddy's name on the list, we need to see if we can get them to pay (providing they're still interested) Though I'm assuming Jan allowed for no shows, 68 is still a far cry from the original 100 we thought we'd get.
