Yep. Two or three guys have this setup on their R56 already, but don't have proper tuning yet. Coopman and Mtuning are the guys that come to mind. Jan from RMW still hasn't had the chance to touch one and really give us the whole story on what is possible with his ECU tuning wizardry, or any other type of advisement for if R56 guys will need to upgrade any engine components when approaching 300+ hp.

The K03 hybrid turbo seems like the more practical way to go if someone can get it to kick off here in the states.

Cryotreat the whole motor you'll be good. The real problem though with upgrading the internals is the lack of them for this motor. But then again you can look for the motor specifically and or the other cars that it is in. You can look up specifics for it by putting the engine type in which is EP6DT and that should help you out in custom making engine parts.

I've had one sitting in my garage in the box collecting dust until someone manages to successfully tune an N14 with one.

unichip is working

im running the gt28 rs with a tuned unichip pulling 265whp and 276wtorque at 15 psi,its running ok not verry smooth at part trottle but fine enough,i realy need a good ecu tune to get the most out,and the max with the unichip is 15psi,tha afr is safe in a low 11 after 4000rpms until i get a real ecu tune this works

Interesting...

I think that's the first time you've ever given us power figures.

So much more potential with this turbo. That UniChip isn't letting this beast out of its cage!

good find. looks like the exact same kit. If your minis stock and you want this kit. besides having to get your mini tuned what else will you have to purchase? DP,intake, exhaust,FMIC?

DP and IC would be most important, followed by catback, improved plumbing, ram air or "cold" air intake, etc...anything that can improve airflow and keep the air cool is worth getting - just do your research and get the best components. Of course you can get very detailed on this...but these are just basic bolt ons that will help with the turbo...
