Sorry if the thread was heading for Brake Boosting maybe I'll start a new one to keep this one open for the Remote Tune.

Might as well throw a couple more questions in for later,
What happens with this tune when the sport button is on/off?
will we be able to have the normal tuning when it is off and the aggressive tuning when it is on?
If this is true than I am going to replace the button and get one that says 'KILL'

Doesn't look like it. The testing in a week seems to be wishful thinking.

Hi Jan,

So we need a laptop, or is the flash tool a complete kit?

Will the process be -> backup existing info on the ECU -> Send to you for the tune -> Upload the map on the ECU? And we get to keep our own backups?

Sounds great... waiting for info on where to get the flash tool!

you will need a laptop
you will put your file up on the server and I will pull it down and modify
it will allow multiple maps and you keep them

Think we could get another one soon? There is clearly enough interest to occupy your time for at least a day.
(and probably more like 2 at this point judging by all the +1 posts on this board)

Jan, what kind of power improvement can we expect? Will this tune make a stock MCS perform like a JCW?

So would the cost be just $289 if you have already gotten a tune???? And what improvements could realistically be gained by adding say a helix intercooler and JCW stage 1 intake????

So this $800 tune is the same as the tune you have been performing on many of the r56's already, just without the fine tuning of the dyno?

and as new maps (including the VVT) come up, are they included in the 800 or will they cost more?

True, but then again, the JCW kit is more than twice that price...

But you get intake and exhaust with JCW kit. And I've found it for under $1700. I'm probably going with RMW, too, but now it's a closer call for me.
