Jan,

Very exciting news! Will this remote allow the user to select what additional components are added to their R56 and choose specific maps based on that data? Some people may only have a CAI and a turboback, while others might have those things with boost tubes and a FMIC...etc.

Thanks!

Hey Jan. You still haven't answered my question. Can your remote unit be used to tune and detune a map thats not yours. I think most people want to be able to take thier existing tunes off their cars once in a while, Warranty etc but cant unless your remote can be used with existing tunes not just yours as if it can take off and put back on other tunes other than your you could earn a mint from people in the UK as alarge % of Mini owners already have theirs done. Please let me know as i have quite a few people asking at the moment and a few holdinh off their tunes incase it cant be done.

OK, let me get this straight... Jan, you'll be creating a "generic" file that can be uploaded to any R56? What would we need? Does this mean I could get to keep a backup of my original programming and the new tune, and swap between them?

Am I right in understanding this would be a milder tune than a dyno one, but safer?

If so... I'm loving the idea...

I think that the other tune would need to be removed before he can do his. And I believe the way this works is when you need to change this he needs to be online and sent the actual data to the remote device.

you will tell me the mods and I will build a custom map for your car based on the mods. We can also dyno tune it too It can be updated as you add more parts

yes it will allow you to store the original map that is currently on the car on the tool. I then can clear the eprom back to stock so you can go back and forth.

How much for just the remote with no tune? And when do you think they will be available. I have 13 people that want them for maps they already have to enable them to take them on and off as and when. It may be a higher number by the weekend as im going to a Mini meet.

I'm also curious as to more details on the VVT tune. I understand what VT means. Just curious what would actually be changed. How much power is expected to be gained over the already stellar numbers the base tune is offering?

Thank you!

Will this tune improve the performance of a bone stock mini, or close to stock (CAI only)

Yes!

Look at the RMW tuning thread, the dyno graph posted on page 2 is of a stock MCS...it saw huge gains.

Iv Scrapped getting the other tune im going to wait for your remote tune. When do we think it will be ready as im going to sell my car soon if i cant get it tuned as its really lacking the extra kick in the **** that some other hot hatches have.

Oh, and how much?

Really my car won't brake boost thats so weird even my buddy who drives another turbo car tried and he couldn't either. Once you start to apply the brake I can push the gas pedal to the floor and it doesn't do anything.
