I have set up a shop in Hyannis to do a pulley party in the October/November timeframe (after Phoenix).

So, with all this time to plan, I figure we can make this one heck of an event!

Post here if you are interested, and we'll start getting a count. Once all of you are listed, I'll have you call to give your contact info.

The cost for the pulley and labor is $400, and the ECU upgrade is another $699. Intakes are available as well, but I will have to know before the event to be able to send them out there. The MINIPilo is $148, the Alta is $199, and the Madness is $239.

Thanks!

Randy

Yup, sign me up for a pulley too. Thanks Randy. Is this the "Can't Wait for October/November Thread?"

My car ain't got no pulley, but I'd love to come down and hang out with you guys! October is the best time to go to the cape, in my opinion.

Randy, I'm interested. But as I start to think about this in concrete terms, can you point me toward the threads that discuss the relative merits of each of the standard upgrades (pulley, intake, ECU) separate/in-combination? What I'm getting at is that I don't think I can spring for all 3 right now (october), but wonder what I'd be giving up by say ONLY doing the pulley or only the pulley and intake.

I figure that this has all been discussed many times before, so the threads ought to exist...

OMG! I wish I knew a couple days ago...I live in Hyannis. I just did my pulley myself. Randy, where in Hyannis will this be? When you know the date, let me know. I am working on putting together a "Euro-Asian" tuner car show in Hyannis. Maybe we can get a bunch of MCS owners to show...

Randy: Why the change of heart? When I asked about a North East Pulley Party, you said no, because of Helix. Not that I'm complaining, Eric now has exclusive rights to work on my car, due to the excellent work performed. I thought you were staying out of Helix's territory as a professional courtesy

jsun- I have only the madness intake and pulley (although the ECU & exhaust is in the plans). It is fantastic and a night and day improvement over stock. I'd recommend this combination if funds are short. You won't be disappointed!

I would guess it's b/c Boston is a heck of a distance from Helix. Not exactly in their backyard.

I live in South Dennis. Not too many of us around the Cape. I'll pm you.

To Randy's credit, not only is Boston a haul to Philly, but CT is DEFINITELY a haul to Philly. Going through NYC and Jersey can be torture, even when compared to hitting the Big Dig. I'm so psyched for this. Thanks again Randy.

Dude,
I live in Torrington CT, and I offered my Garage for the North East Party, which was turned down by Randy, because he said Helix was close enough Flashback to Original Post So I was just wondering why Helix is now far enough away to warrant the upcoming Randy install.

I guess no more mr. nice guy. I know plenty of D.C. folk that will stick with the 2.5 hour drive to Helix.

What's with this snarkiness? Can't we all just get along? Go where you're most comfortable... If you've got problems or questions with Randy's schedule or location, maybe you should ask him about it personally.

I'm near Boston... and I can't realistically make it to Helix from here with the amount of time I have. I could get my dealership to do it or I could jump in on the group install. I LIKE hanging with lots of other MINI people and I LIKE Hyannis. *shrug*

I am interested in getting the pulley (and possibly more).
The only issue is that my car will be a Sept production car,
so it will all depend on whether my car gets here in time for
Randy's visit.
