Randy,

This is great news. If I can find the cash, count me in for a pulley and MiniPilo intake. Either way, I'll be at the party.

Glad you guys are chiming in! Looks like we'll get the numbers to make this get together in Hyannis work.

Fantastic. I'll be in for a pully and ecu. I'll be driving in from Montreal. I was trying to get a group together for my area. I guess I should have done a search first. I'm in for sure.

let me know what i need to do

Jsun,

I too had your same questions. Randy installed my pulley on the last day in San Diego. I can share my experience and take it for what you think it is worth. I have only done the pulley and there is, to me, a noticable increase in power throughout the entire power range. Best of all the slight hesitation the S has from a dead start is gone. I have an Alta intake on order and plan to add the magnaflow exhaust next. The cake will eventually be iced with the ECU, money permitting..

The best part of the SD party was there was a car availible to test drive on each level. A stock car, pulley only, pulley and intake, and one that had all four mods. When I get bored with my latest fix, I will do another. After watching Randy do the installation, the additional expense was worth it to me to have someone working on my investment that had done this 120 times prior to me. In fact Randy has got it to such a science, the install took 34 minutes.. Randy's test drive after the install was worth at least $50.00. Thanks again Randy!!

I'm from Montreal, I would prefer to have the pulley intalled in Canada, anybody knows if it is possible? A drive to Hyannis would be great at that time of the year but still 7 hours from Montreal....

Guy,

I'm in downtown Montreal and will be making the trip for sure. I'm going to try to swing together a couple more local MINIs so we can caravan down together. What side of town do you live on?

djafactor and Hibou, this is one purchase you won't have to declare at the border!
Hope you guys can make it. We'll rustle up some Tuborgs and jelly donuts for ya.
(No offense please, plenty of French Canadians in my lineage).

CCM,

i'm there for sure, and i'll bring the Krispy Kreme. I'm actually an American sucked into the French Canadian world....HA! I've been in Montreal for the last 7 months and loving it. Hopefully I can get a couple of Montreal MCS owners to caravan down with me. Can't wait to meet Randy. I just did his airbox modifcation mod today and all i can say is WOW! It's now more addicting than ever to stomp on the throttle. The supercharger whine is even more pronounced than ever. This should hold me over for a couple more months till the ecu/pully. Thanks Randy!

see you all soon

Count me in for the pulley mod. But need to know a date as I'm making a film of the Mini race at Leguna and am running the Baja 1000 in November...no not in the Mini. Oh, from Connecticut so a short 2 hour drive.

I don't have a firm date quite yet - but it will be in late October or November. The nice thing about doing the planning this far out is flexibility. I can plan around schedules at this point. Let me know the dates that work for you.

Am in Denver all the time on business..even stay at the "Ranch". I work with HDNet which is producing the next CART race. I'll call you regarding the pulley install in the Cape later this week.

October is better for me. I just can't wait much longer i'm itching for this mod, also gives me more time to enjoy the car before the Montreal icey winter hits. The porsche club guys will be scratching their heads next season when they can't keep up with me around the track. Randy, your airbox mod is fantastic.

I live in Outremont, it would be great to caravan and I really agree with your idea of making that party as soon as possible as the wheather in Cape code is usually much more attractive in october...where do you live?
For Randy, if you make it Columbus day week end, it is a long week end for us too, maybe it could be good for your business if it is for the rest of us....

Hibou,

I'm pretty close to you. Lower Plateau, 1 block south & east off the corner of St Laurent & Sherbrooke. I think I can swing a couple more MCSs here in montreal for the pully. It would be cool to caravan a few cars to the meet. On a side note I don't know if you heard about the MINI Meet in the 1000 islands in mid September. Sat/Sun event with Sun being a full day at Shannonville Raceway for MINIs only! Check out the website. Looks like it is well organized with maximum 50 cars. I sent in my registration this morning, there are 9 spots left.

If you are ever up for a group wash/wax let me know. A couple of us have been trying to get together to organize a sat or sun dedicated to detailing our cars.

Hello all! I'm new to the board and to my MCS.

Randy,

I'd be interested in the pulley and, since I live on the Cape, it couldn't be more handy! Please let us know the dates when you have them. (Unless the are somewhere in the thread and I just missed them.) It will be fun to join the gathering!

Scott

*bump*

Just wanted to get this back in the active threads so more/new people can check it out.

Randy, any idea on dates yet? And if you will have those 2/4 switch things ready by then? That ECU stuff sounds really cool, hope I have the funds for it.

How about a valid show of hands for those who want to attend?
If we get enuff interest this will pull(ey) together nicely.
Date not set yet. It will depend on how many people commit to doing the pulley or flash and what Randy has in mind for minimum # of attendees. Based on the two forums it looks like there are initially 12-15 people interested. I'm sure if we push this it will grow to the needed #.
Nick and I installed the Alta pulley in my S a month or so ago. With a shop full of tools and people who know how to use them, it's not a difficult job. In your driveway or garage though, it could be a walking nightmare.
My car is a totally different little beast with the pulley. The gains are amazing. It just keeps pulling and pulling. For comparison I test drove a 2003 S at MINI of Peabody on August 27th. The stock S felt slow and sluggish compared to my S with the pulley and BMP intake.
Those who just want to come and hang out are welcome too!

There's more interest on this thread in the New England Regional Forum at mini2:

I'm definitely in if I can get my car in time for the pulley party.
It should be no problem though; I am at status 150, with estimated production date of 9/5.

Count me in for a pulley and an ECU in Hyannis. I was going to hold out for the JCW package, but the aftermarket hype (and the desire not to have the most expensive street MCS on the planet) is getting to me.

Hello again to all Bostonian and area folk!

I am now ready to get down to business on the scheduling of this fine event.

I'd like to do the event in October - let me know what dates work for you the best so we can pick a weekend. I have one autocross event on the 19th. Right now, I'm leanign toward October 24-26.

Post here on desired dates, then when we firm that up, I'll start having folks call to give me their contact info, get them on the list and give out directions. I'm expecting big things out of this, as one of my college buds was an Irish kid from Boston, and we had a lot of good times together!

I am doing the Phoenix party in September, the Boston party in October and the Detriot party in December. I wonder which city needs a November date...

Randy,

I definitely want the Alta intake and pulley, but unfortunately, my 04 IB/W MCS won't be in by October. Are the folks in Hyannis willing to offer similar pricing for those of us with later deliveries?

Regards,
Spike
