Hey Randy,

By the way congratulations on the latest addition to your family. May you be blessed with a happy, healthy child that sleeps through the night !

Also, I want to extend a sincere thanks to you from all of us MINI owners (or soon to be owners in my case). You've made a great car ownership experience even better ! With your guidance and impartial insight, I already know what I want to do with my MINI when it finally arrives.

Thanks,
Erick (Spike)

Oct. 24-26 sounds good to me. I think it's important to avoid the previous weekend
which is a holiday weekend.

I believe you can put me down for a pulley. CCM, at your bud's garage, are owners allowed under the cars? I assume so from your other posts but you know there are those places with that stupid big "insurance" sign. For example, could I use this opportunity to, say, add a skid plate or something simple? Does the pulley install happen totally on the ground? If so, ignore my question. You're used to that. An aero kit????

Well, I know I'M allowed in, but your reputation may proceed you and keep you out in the parking lot. From pics I've seen of other pulley parties it appears that MINI owners are crawling all over the place within the limitations of good behavior.
Yes, pulley install is on the ground.
Opportunity to do other things? I know that air filters will also be done and ecu flashes.
If you want to do some simple stuff we can do it out in the lot together while the experts do the pulley's. I'll help you screw it up, I mean fix it up good.

>>I am doing the Phoenix party in September, the Boston party in October and the Detriot party in December. I wonder which city needs a November date...

Isn't Phoenix in November?!

OK, so Phoenix is in November. The dates there are already set!

I now have a party in October (Boston), November (Phoenix), and December (Detroit).

I'd like some more feedback before we firm the date up for Boston - any input?

Randy

Randy,

I am certainly interested in joining you for an ECU upgrade, I already have pulley, your Madness intake and Borla exhaust. I also am one of the people experiencing a noise that I believe is pinging, which appeared about a month after the pulley went on, with no warning lights to suggest that the BMW ECU thinks there's a problem. Hope we can figure this out for everyone's sake.
Congratulations on your new baby!

call or email when the dates are firmed up.

Randy, the dates sound good. I will want a pulley and Madness intake, maybe ECU, not sure yet.

I also emailed you some stuff and I understand you are swamped so whenever you get to it is fine.

I am *really* excited about this. Not only for the upgrades but we will have John and CCM in the same room together, possibly installing a skid plate? That ought to be good.

Hey Jared, glad you are in.
Looks like this is heating up. I've pumped it up over at mini2 and a lot of folks are showing interest.
My plan is to get John under his car and then drop the jack.
Randy, so far there haven't been any complaints about the dates.

Hah!

Yeah we ought to get a weekend full of people who want something done. You will hardly have to pump it up. If people around here know what's good for them (Randy's prices and expertise), then they will schedule a slot. I want a slot the day John is there because we can probably con him into bringing doughnuts. Make that a Saturday or Sunday.

Too bad it will start getting cold and stuff then, but when the summer rolls around again it will be a blast! Oh well, we are better off than Michigan.

It is set. The dates for the Boston Pulley Party are October 24th, 25th and 26th.

The charge is $400 for the pulley and labor, $199 for the Alta intake with no hose, $259 for the Alta with the hose, $239 for the Madness, and $170 for the BMP. Powerchip ECU programs are available as well at $690. I would be happy to ship things in advance, but can only install the above products. Talk with Nick at Hyannis Foreign Auto about scheduling other installs such as swaybars, springs, or exhaust systems. It may be possible to schedule your other installs for the same day you are getting the engine upgraded.

Here is the address and phone number of the shop:

Hyannis Foreign Auto Repair

Hi Randy,

I just left a message. I'm in for just the pulley. I'd like Sunday morning sometime, if it's available. Talk to you soon.

I'm returning calls now. I was at the track all day yesterday testing out some stuff and doing a bit of instruction, so I missed some calls (the order line is almost up and running). The mail box has room again! I have Peter and John slotted. Carl, 8:00 is open, so I'll tentatively schedule you there on Sunday.

Thanks!

Randy

Come on guys let's get this thing rockin.

Randy, I think I am going to do the tube along with the intake, I'm just not sure which color will look best yet.

Hi Randy,
Maybe you can post the current schedule or the available slots, for those who haven't signed up yet. Or are you full up?

I'm looking forward to it on Sunday morning.

Randy has updated it in his schedule that is 5 or 6 posts above these last couple. When people sign up he just edits the post and adds. We are almost full on Saturday, three slots open on Sunday, and all day Friday is still open.

Cool - I hadn't realized it was updated. Thanks, pezboy.

C'mon folks, sign up for the rest of the spots and make this a full party! You can't beat the deal and more partiers will be even more fun. I'll be bringing some coffee and breakfast treats on Sunday morning.

Good point, Carl. If anyone who has not signed up for a spot absolutely needs one on Saturday, I would be willing to move to Friday to help fill up the party. Just don't wait until the last week. I am always looking for an excuse to blow off a day at the office, .
