Haven't checked in on this thread in a while. I love the Cape in October, so I may come down from Boston just to hang out and meet everybody. I'd be all set on the accommodations; I've got a friend with a house in Chatham. Hope to see y'all down there!

Scott,

Sunday at 3:30, then I'm going to have to go into Friday (which is entirely open as I've been trying to fill the weekend to determine if there is a need for a third day).

Give me a call on Monday, as I hope to be in the shop again then. I've been out the last couple of days with a rampant killer virus that I ban to the depths of the deepest hell  .

Randy

Okay.....VERY IMPORTANT!

There are no Krispy Kreme shops here on the Cape.

So, who can pick up a dozen (or two) on their way?

NOMONSTERSINME, are you near the Cranston, RI shop?
Anyone from the north, there is one in Medford...
...I need my fix!

Bisch,

I could possibly swing by the one in Medford. Also, nomonstersinme isn't going to get the pulley last I knew. I am probably closest, do I get a ride in your car w/the spray??

Sure, anyone is welcome for a ride. I'll be sure to have the tanks full...
Bring an adult diaper, or I can put a sheet of plastic over the seat!

I'll bring the Canadian Krispy's. One opened here in Montreal this summer. My girlfriend's sister did promotions for them before they opened and everyday we had 7 boxes stacked in the hallway

So we (Noah & Rachel) will be bringing jacks & jackstands. However, we'll need to work out some logistics here. We'll be staying in Brewster at Noah's parents' house. However, we've got to be leaving the cape Saturday night because we're going to a track event (Quattro Challenge) up at NHIS on Sunday (sadly, we won't get to try out the Mini there... gotta bring the S4!)

Anyways, since you guys will need the jacks & jackstands at sunday as well, we should figure out how we can get them back. Any of the following scenarios would work:

- they could be left at the shop where the work is done, and we could pick them up the following week
- someone could drop them off further up the cape at Noah's parents' house
- someone could drop them off at our place in Waltham
- someone who lives in the Boston area could take them home, and we'll pick them up during the week
- someone who lives on-cape (Steve?) could hang onto them, and we could get them from him the next week.

Keep in mind that the heavy duty jack is HEAVY, and will certainly require the mini's back seats be folded down.

As far as Friday, we're thinking of taking that friday off from work anyways, to have more time at the cape. If that's the case, we could drop the jacks off at the shop on Friday if they're needed then.

What do you all think?

Guy,

Give me a call. I could put you in at the end of Saturday - 4:30.

After that, we have to open Friday up!

See you soon!

Noah,
You are more than welcome to leave the jacks here. There is plenty of room, and it is safe. They could be picked up any day (wed. might be a tough day though).

I think we'll do that, just leave them there. We live in Waltham, so I'd be inclined to pick them up another weekend or something (or have my parents pick them up; they go from newton to the cape and back every weekend).

It depends on how you're driving back. We're right off of 90 over here in Waltham. But it's really not a big deal to wait and pick them up the next week if they're not going to be a pain in someone's.. toes. You might just find that you're having too much fun with that new pulley to stop at all!

Rachel, I would be more than willing to take them to Brewster for you.
That might be the most fool proof way. Just let me know.

For those of you attending, if you are looking for a great meal you should definitely check out Yings restaurant ( http://www.yings.net ) . It's about a mile or so from Bisch's place. Why Yings? They are Zagats rated and have the best Asian food this side of Boston. It's NOT the usual Chinese Restaurant fare, trust me. The other great reason to go would be to meet and support a fellow MINI owner, Dao. Her CR/W Cooper is usually parked right out front.

If you'd do that, that'd be great. Then Noah's parents could bring them back Mondayish. I'd feel bad getting New Yorkers lost in Waltham  (and we won't be home on Sunday... we'll be at NHIS)

Haven't tried that place... perhaps we could hit that place for dinner Saturday.

Hello, All!

Randy, do you anticipate sending out a "summary" email or Word-type document summarizing things like the name of the place, it's location and everyone's timeslot?

Play On!

The top post on page 4 has all that info.

Randy, just want to make sure you got my message that I'll take a red hose with the Alta intake.
