Back by Popular Demand: Jan at Helix in Jan.

Back by Popular Demand: Jan at Helix in Jan.

Following the success of Revolution MINI Works first east coast tuning event at Helix Motorsports, there has been high demand for a repeat performance. Jan will be back sometime in January (possibly the week of the 8th) for another round of tuning. You do not have to have a RMW head or any RMW parts to take advantage of this custom dyno tune. Jan uses Dimsport software to flash the Minis.

Location: Helix Motorsports, Philadelphia, PA

Cost: Tune is $350 with $85/hr for dyno time.
*Bigger (380cc) Injectors are needed for the folks with pulleys. 440s are needed for those with the rmw head

We will be checking cars over before the dyno for common problems (like slipping belts) to ensure efficient dyno results.

So far we have:

I am sorry that I will miss this one as my car will be off the road until Spring. I am pretty sure there are others that do not run their cars in the salted roads. Please put my name down for a trip in the spring if others are interested.
Thanks, Steve

Man, definitely interested but no use if after tuning, my dealer reflashes the ECU. I'm still under maintainance warranty.

Larry, I don't have your PM in my inbox for some reason. Please resend it.

It's not often that the dealer will have to reflash your ecu. However, I'm sure Jan can save your tuning file so in the event that you lose the tune, you can have the file reflashed.

Ah ****, I don't think my car will be ready by then, still need to add an exhaust before I do the tune, and all my money is getting wasted on my damn relatives for Christmas. Any chances he will be back later in the year??

I may be interested - Just need to see if I can put that cash together to put into the car.

Also, what is a rough estimate of Dyno time per car? I know they are all different, but to get a ball park....

Thank you

Hey Ralph,
I spoke to Eric this morning and asked to be on the list. I'll be up in a few weeks for the header.

This is what I'm trying to figure out - I have the Dinan software with no pulley. I'd like to go with pulley/real tune from RMW or LDG. After listening to different people's opinions, I'm not sure if it's worth it or not. Just looking for some guidance, but in the end, I don't mind not spending money. I trust what Eric says - I'll call him soon.
