OCC, The correct install?

I know there are some long threads out there talking OCC. But there are two stickys on how to install. My head was spinning trying to decipher. I am a not a techie so be gentle...Which is the better/correct way to install?

Ok, from what ive read the first is the mfg's way to do.. the second one, is what most namers have.

ah cool. the only thing i dont have is the optional attachment. Is there a big difference that additional makes??

Inline with the PCV valve as shown in the above hi-res sketch is the proper way. Some methods have you blocking off the PCV system and routing both the PCV and breather ports on the engine to the breather inlet before the throttle body. Doing this defeats the positive crankcase ventilation and can often cause problems with sludge buildup down the road. Since the main source for the oily mist is via the PCV valve port, that's the position for the OCC. If oil shows up at the breather port, either the PCV system is non functional for some reason, or the engine has excessive blow-by due to piston ring failure (or maybe worse).

I went with the 2 OCC. I had the Alta first and then added the eBay one for the PVC side.
