If your car only made 214whp with these mods, then how did Longboard make 231whp with these mods...?

This whole thing with the RMW head just doesn't add up. I'm still waiting for at least ONE other car to come close to 231whp with this head and basic mods.

"3. Danny tells me he’s going to install jan’s head and other parts on his car while he had my tune for his previous setup in his car. I told Danny the tune in his car is optimized for his previous setup and that he will run lean, so the fueling needs to be adjusted. I told him to keep an eye on the air to fuel ratio until we got together to adjust the fuel. Danny has a pre-cat wide band o2 system installed on his car so he sees the air to fuel ratio coming out of the engine before the excess fuel gets burned by the cat. I ask Danny a number of times what the air to fuel ratio was and he replied it seems to be fine and it wasn’t lean based on his in car meter. Post cat air to fuel ratio is what a dyno measures. The pre-cat values are around .4 to .5 points richer in general and are what actually comes out of the engine before the catalyst burns the excess fuel, showing a leaner value."

No you told me you wouldn't tune my car because it had Jan's parts on it. I had to convince you to put something on my car beacuse you didn't want your tune on a car that has Jan's products. that is why I said it was a stock tune with a raised rev limit.

"5. Danny posts 235 with a 19% pulley and then slightly lower with a 15% pulley. We talk after he posts his results and I told him I am going to announce that it was my tune in the car. Danny said ok but he is going deny any knowledge of it because he didn’t want to get in the middle of me and jan … and that jan is his meal ticket for now and he doesn’t want to **** him off. But he said he would still like to sell my flash on the side. I told him fine, deny it so you don’t get hurt in between us. ---- I was not able to post that my tune was on Danny’s car before the moderator deleted the post (even though Ii tried and wrote to the moderator… I have e-mail records of this), so I regretfully let it go."

your makeing it seem like I am going behind peoples backs. deny is the wrong choice of words don't redirect your anger for Jan towards me and try to make me look bad. I told you I would sell your tune to non RMW cars. there's nothign wrong with that yet now your making it seem like i am unloyal.

bottom line there are no stunts being played here if you want to make money by knocking down other vendors then go ahead i don't play like that. i stand behind my work people will believe what they want. Enjoy

The truth will be known soon enough.
Why "soon enough"? Why not now?

Boy do have an Axe to grind or what. Do have any integrity?? Why would you slander Jan based on hear say?? Man you are a tool. It isn't hard to figure out were your information comes from. I'm glad you were able to form your opinion of Jan based on one side of a story. Well done hot shot.

I have dealt with allot of vendors over the years and working with Jan has been refreshing. I get strait answers and he always does what he says.

It's not based on hearsay, but from actual people who have dealt with him. I understand you wanting to defend him, but the insults are not necessary.

I guess we could all make 231whp with a blank dyno sheet and a crayon.

Partsman,

I am waiting for any of my customers to come on here and complain. I can show thousands of dollars of receipts that I was bilked out of by the same people that talk trash about me.....

It's strange that everyone of my parts suppliers has been approached by the same vendors that trash me wanting them to give them my designs yet NOT 1 of them have given out the designs or offered to make the parts for these vendors.... Why haven't they?

Don't you find that extremely strange for someone by your own admission who is hated by everyone in the Mini World?

Then again rational thinking is NOT the norm here

Jan,
My intention here was not to start a war. I just call it like I see it, or in this case hear and read it.

My hang up is with the claims on the RMW head, and i'm actually getting tired of typing this question,
Is there at least ONE other car that can put down numbers like Longboard did with his basic mods and no tune?
That's all I want to see.

Your real personality is finally coming out! Way to go hot shot. Is it because your stuck at 190hp that you have such a hard time with dyno numbers.

I posted where and when my dyno was done. Because of this M7 showed up a week later with a car to dyno. Everyone thought is was a high reading dyno and wanted to discredit the numbers.

I know allot of questions were asked about my car and how we dynoed but because my dyno was strait up (no ice, no water, no NOS, air filter on) and the fact that the M7 car didn't produce abnormally high numbers there was nothing to post to discredit my dyno.

I went there hoping for 215. I left heavily impressed and with a big on my face.

Umm, excuse me....

I have head # 2. On 5 different dynos over 3 days in the Dallas area on 93 Octane my Mini pulled anywhere from 225-230 WHP with OEM map

Under bonnet mods consist of Craven CAI, 16% pulley, RMW Head, Stahl Header, Custom Exhuast. I forget the part # of the plugs but they are 2 ranges colder then stock. Also there is an MSD Coil and Kingsbourne wires, in blue and we all know blue wires run colder allowing for more HP.

I have posted this before.

That's all I want to see.

I am not sure how many times people have to type this.... IT'S THE DELTA

numerous cars have put down 30-39hp by just putting the head on

Danny's car HAD a head already and Emil's tune and it only made 200whp.
He pulled the tune and the other head off and made 214whp so he made 14 extra hp over a tune and a competitors head. Pm people that have the head and get their reactions. I have emails from customers talking about how they love the head.

I am not really sure why you care as you have no interest in purchasing RMW products. I really think you and a few others are out for your own agenda.

I have known Jan for years... he is as straight as they come. I know Emil but not that well... frankly don't care...

I have always had a strong car... and people were always saying that my HP #s were unpossible... well get over it.

Samething happened in 02 when Hubie came on the scene with the TC kit... no one belived it and said it couldn't be done. Jan was the first to make some 280 WHP... pushing and pushing.... Then later when I came on from working with Hubie with 430 WHP it was said... "that's not even a MINI"

well it was wrong then and it's wrong now.

I am tired of this petty vendor bashing.

You like Emil? Use him.

You wanna listen to X person/vendor and pop your motor.... that's your choice.

there is enough to go around. Some want a name... some want go... some want handling... some want it all...

I don't see how this discussion has anything to do with M7, but that's just you, I guess.

Well said Tuls! The demographical makeup of the MINI is so diverse that there will be many different goals; nobody is wrong because not everyone's goals are the same. The few bad apple whiners need to get a grip and understand that will always be someone else beyond their reach that has already done it and done it better than they ever will. Making power is nothing new; the formula is the same even if the badge is different.

Thank you for chiming in. I obviously missed where you posted this. Can you direct me to the thread/info? I would really like to see it.

Jan, I understand all this, and i'm sure you have satisfied customers. The thing is nobody else has posted (other than gnatster?) anywhere close to 230whp with the RMW head (and basic mods) since you've been selling the head.

True, about purchasing RMW products.
Not true, about the agenda part.
Just like on the salt flats, you have to run the number the other way too, for it to count.
With your head, i'd like to see someone else run the number before I believe it.
I appreciate you discussing this like an adult, unlike Longboard.
