Drivetrain Revolution Mini Works car breaks 251.72whp
I don't understand all of this doubting and criticism by people who haven't seen or driven a car with this head installed. Even after praise from Thumper Heads, MSFITOY, SpiderX, Tuls, and Ryephile amongst many. My wifes car had the fifth or sixth RMW head installed. I saw it at AMVIV and had a good discussion with Tuls about it's design and construction. The price was very competitive. After reading Gnatster's post about his car, I called Jan and had an install appointment four days later. Jan personally brought the head to the shop for the install and stayed until it was completed so that he could take it out for a test drive to insure it was all working properly. He even bought lunch that day. I think that the RMW Head was the best bang for the buck we spent on my wifes MINI. It made a huge difference in the performance and drivability and we are very happy with it. Sorry doubters, no dyno, just big grins everytime we hit the gas. We are now anxiously looking forward to the new software. Thanks Jan. I'm sure there are more of Jan's customers on here who will chime in.

Jan has long been on the cutting edge of Mini horsepower. The people who have done business with him so far have had nothing but good things to say about his product and his enthusiasm for same.
Let's get some things straight. I've seen rumors and innuendos on this and other forums regarding testing methods that may or may not have been performed on RMW equipped cars. Who gives a crap? Doesn't anyone find it ironic that alot of these insinuations are coming from Vendors who seem to be allergic to the dyno? Go put your own products on the dyno or on the drag strip before you start trashing someone who actually posts the deltas.
Jan, it appears that you're gaining quite a loyal following with your products. My congratulations to you as I have no doubts that you deserve it. I know you're a stand up guy who will do right by the community. I also know that this isn't your first time in the Arena. I'm guessing you probably saw a lot of this coming.......
Skip
Isn't the saying "a big ration of crap"? (Although the mental image of getting both a rash and a crap is interesting).
Let me Google it.......wait..........
You're right - well I'll be a skunky's uncle!

that's my Pchop of where I wanna go with my car....

Pretty nice
Actually he pulled about 180 until we the dyno magically warmed up after Emil tuned his car. One of his runs he LOST power with the tune, like 10 HP IIRC. Its worth mentioning that Dannys car made about 139 ft/lbs of torque on that dyno, and the person running the dyno didn't have a clue what he was doing. Marios car went from 180 whp to 230+ after a tune. And his AF only went up about .8-1, so it's not like he was running some ridiculously rich program.
For what it's worth, I was the 3rd person to put Jan's head on my car, and i've had it for a while now, and love it. It's added a lot more character to the car, and this is how it should have driven out of the factory. My friend who just spent $6.000 dollars to put a supercharger on his A4 3.0 still remarks that my car has more punch than his by far. I have no idea what the numerical figure is for HP, I just know that I enjoy the way my car drives, which I why I dumped the $2,000+ to do it in the first place.
Jan is a great guy, and I love working with him
Danny is an amazing Mechanic and Friend, and has more than gone out of his way to make sure my car is taken care of. Top rate, and highly recommended.
I stay away from NAM nowadays because of threads like this one, and the level of immaturity that some members have displayed in the past. I wish everyone luck in whatever modding endeavors they may be undertaking.

Re: RMW Head
I met Jan this year at The Dragon after talking with him for several hours and seeing his Cylinder head I was sold.
I have been involved with Speed and Hp my whole life, from Off Shore Race boats to Turbo VWs.
After looking over Jan's Cylinder head I knew I had to have one.
It has every aspect of performance covered; research, design, and technology.
So after receiving my very own a few weeks ago and not having time to install it,
last night I just could not take it anymore!! I finished up the install around 12am, and I am very impressed!!!!! No Dyno yet, but in my seat of the pants analysis its added some serious Hp.
Cheers,
Eddie

Without blah blah blah this forum would get about 5 posts a day

....I have basic bolt ons, NO head or cam and made 197whp with a crappy tune. i dont get itJan,
My intention here was not to start a war. I just call it like I see it, or in this case hear and read it.
My hang up is with the claims on the RMW head, and i'm actually getting tired of typing this question,
Is there at least ONE other car that can put down numbers like Longboard did with his basic mods and no tune?
That's all I want to see.

looks like at 7,000 rpms you REALLY start to run rich. aka - areas to improve!
I'm loathe to post anything with results cause no matter how good it might be someone here will always take a shot. But the thing is, I don't really care, I go out to the road course and have fun.
see but this is where the DYNO wars always happen... its about the delta.... maybe if Nate did a pull on your dyno.. he would be at 214 ft lbs of TQ.... etc... so.... wanna race for slips? LOL
