It's Quite alright

I understand perfectly what you ment I think it was my vauge Writing skills that led you astrayy.
What i ment to say it its rather Fast as a car but the power delevery makes it very easy to control and its quite a powerband.
Its almost like a old twostroke motor or a Vtech Where its got a powercurve to it
Unlike what you or i are use to with our standard roots blowers.
However mine may not last that long as just a standard roots blower.
The Rotrex is very very neat but not quite for me.
gotta say though bryan has the right set up its amazing.
Hes a friendly guy ask him for a ride!

Course im kinda jaded growing up with big block chevys!

I hear what you're saying...i'm sure it feels a lot different than a M45 car.

I know he's a friendly guy...we settled our differences a while back. I would ask him for a ride except...i'm on the other side of the country.

Me too, and some pretty nasty small-blocks as well.

Oh my! i just noticed you were in Rhode Island!!!
Yikes that would be a drive! Least we get good milage!
yes its wayy diffrent than the M45 car. its crazy as all get out.
The noise is incredible. as well as the whoosh feeling.
I know that Jan and danny complain about a lack of tq feeling but once its up and moving is very very punch above 4500
I herd the storys of what it was like when it was first started and its very much improved.
Ahh Smallblocks. They are my fave.
Growing up in the corvette restoration business i love them too.
My first car was a 1965 Smallblock with the fuel injection.
However Minis Are my new love.

My first car was a 1970 Camaro, this is the 400 small-block I built for it...

...bolted to a Borg & Warner Super T10 and a 12-bolt posi out back.
Sorry about the crappy pics...this was back when we took pictures with this stuff called film.

I still have a soft spot for old muscle cars, but I don't look at them the same anymore. My MINI is the current obsession,
but now I drool over more current cars...euro vdubs, M3's, and the new 550i.

EDIT: sorry about the hijack, Bryan

Thanks Man .

I haven't driven the car yet but the way if was before the tune was pretty perfect for me.

I when I here Silver say it's perfect for the street. When I was that young I might, just might have said the same thing. Back then I wanted raw performance. Now that I'm 42 and little wiser I want a more refined car. I look at it kinda like the new Honda CBR 1000. It just went against 20 of the best bike in the world at the prestige Masterbike. It wasn't the fastest bike in the 1/4 mile, not the fastest on the track, but in the end the bike that won this years Masterbike and the bike most of the test riders said they would buy was the Honda. Why, Because it was the most complete bike in all categories.

That's the way I have tried to build my car and for me it's exactly that now .

I agree the FSD's over a pot hole or any other hard hit feel harsh. Diving in the canyon of around town or on the freeway to work they are feel great.

The Cross just seem extremely overkill for the street. Add in the fact that I watched you build the Cross name in the Mini community only to watch Cross sell you out and offer them to every Mini vendor in the US. I just can not support a brand that would do that.

So..... any one out there got a better street option?

Going to a 3" would get me over the 300 wall but then it might sacrifice the low and mid.

On top of that I love the sound of my car right now. Sound awesome when you hammer it yet perfect when cruising. I don't think I want to change just for a couple extra HP at the top.

I have to agree here... the car sounds awesome inside and out....

wonder what it would sound with the Hushpower?
It's amazing how the Eaton just makes all exhausts sound 10x louder

When are you getting back? I want to put my camera in your car and video tape some driving around

As the inventor and manufacturer of the now defunct VacuCam's--I'd donate some time to capture the sights and sounds if needed...

They still play football there. I thought they gave that up after the "U" beat them 31-30 in the Orange bowl in the 80's.

Turner - - - who?
