SCDA HPDE Schedule
Work - have you forgotten already what that is VV??

Gotta work to pay for this!!
Hey, take it easy on me, man! I worked today, and I will be working tomorrow as well. TWO DAYS IN A ROW!! I've concluded that I spend less on my cars if I leave the engines where they were designed to be!
Pieces and parts seem to be coming together nicely.
Will it be done this season?

I've worked almost 2 weeks straight since my last vacation

and the rest of my vacation days are booked. No extra fun for me

I've only got 3 more track events planned
LOL! What fun is that?!
Nope. Maybe on the ground for some set up work. Looking like next spring , maybe when Thompson opens up.
you know that it will be worth the wait! GV has to build some furniture now and again...
are you going to make to WGI in Sept?
putting a few more touches on the 51. dry break fueling rig. R56 trailing arms with Onasled's pickups, Tarret rear sway, radio, etc. car could be sub-2000 lbs.

Got to say you guys, VV, GKP, SUSS, Eddie, S-driver, etc should give retirement a try especially in Hawaii. It is quite fantastic.
PS: I stopped AutoX. Just could not see myself doing that now that the Mini is gone.

Gunna try! Vacations are already set so whether they will let me change is unknown. Too early....we have to pick vaca's in April !
I've done a bit of research. I need to be in the 2:08 range to be competitive. I don't know if I can do it, but i'll be there. if I can't, then turbo and more seat time.
My car did 2:17's on R6's with a crappy set of coilovers....my personal goal for the race car is at least what the lap times are for the ST class in Conti series. That would be a 2:09's..... should be able to with a car weighing close to a 1000lbs less! And more tire.
Gotta believe you'll be in the ball park. Corner speed, it's all about corner speed at the Glen - well at least with mine it was! You gots mo power!
Sounds like I'll be able to come to the event in September but not official yet. Supervisor working on it.

thanks. I feel better now. Jason, my co-driver, used to drive in the Conti series. he says that 51 is way faster. that was with less HP and no OS Giken diff. 2:02 will get us to the pointy end of the field. I will be the weak link. i'm ok with that. I need a comp license and will be driving accordingly.
I really hope that you can make it to WGI. the 51 will be wearing a "Semper Fi Fund" livery. if Liam can make it, that would be cool too.
i'm watching a lot of WGI vids. thanks for yours.

Hey Bean - My videos (links on previous pages) are much better than anyone elses...they are, like, in slow motion compared to most and it is easier to see the track and where to be...
Seriously - hope it all goes well and hope to meet you over that weekend.
Man, I need to either speed up my driving or the video...

working on accommodations now. we will probably be in an RV at the track. don't be a stranger. you should be able to find us!
Well, I have finally "arrived" and I am runnin' with the big dogs now!
And a special thanks to the Fasttruck guys who got me there

GVC took me into their A-Solo program at their last event (last Wed and Thurs) at WGI and I didn't embarrass myself. Half a session out with their head instructor and he said I was good to go to run with likes of Vipers, GT3s, a gaggle of M3s and M5s, turbo'ed Miata and who knows what else. Got some coaching from an instructor that I had before and by the end of the event I was turning 2:26s
This means I can run with Beaner and who ever else comes to the Sept event.
I got some great video that I'll post in the near future. There were 2 other MINIs in this group, one of whom I was closely matched and had fun running around the track with. The other had unfortunate engine management issues - lost power. Even I found some major pitfalls with the eLSD that BMW has stuck us with. I burned through as half a set of front pads in a day on the right side going up the Toe as the right brake was doing a ton of work trying to control the wheel spin that a MINI gets on that corkscrew of a turn. Oh, how I wish for a mechanical LSD. In the meantime, I will just have to adjust my driving a little.

I think it's M Sussman. I'd imagine he'd bring the M3 if he makes it..
His doctor is apparently retiring so he may not be able to get the physical in time and if not, he won't be coming. He's also signed up for Friday/Sat/Sun...but wait listed which would not be an issue if he passes the school.

William Johnson is accepted to the race school. driving an 04 MCS.
M Sussman is on the applied list. paperwork not complete. tell him to go to a "doc in a box". if I can pass a physical, anyone can. he is registered with a M3.

I'll be there along with Cheryl. This will be her first time on track, so she will be in novice, and I will be in advanced. The car will get a double workout. Weather forecast looks perfect. Hope to see some more MINIs there! Look for the only Electric Blue MINI there, and you'll find us, or we'll find you...
