SCDA HPDE Schedule
Veggi, Eddie,
Great lunch. Limited chat on track but lots of great conversation nevertheless.
Have a great track season this year and next.
You sure you guys don't want to do Laguna Seca with skippy next season in the advanced race school on the their racing mx5 platform.

I am going to be the coolest grandpa a kid could have...already looking at a Recaro car seat for her
As for Laguna Seca...I have a better chance of going to VIR...anyone up for it next year?

Got a pic of it.
I've been there three times as a spectator so far and I can't wait to drive that place. Fortunately I've been able to get a couple rides out there to experience it at speed tho...
2 times in a brand new M5
1 time in a SCCA T1 C5 ZO6
And of course my first time was in a Tahoe!

It is still a long way, about 10 hours or so for me to get there. And you have to get to NC before coming back into Virginia.
Just to let you know, there were only 2 Minis there. And I Was one of them.
I did make up for the poor showing after I figured out where I was on the track.

We were fortunate here in the Berkshires to elude the brunt of Sandy's wrath. They weren't so lucky down in NYC. Finished off the season at Lime Rock this past Saturday. Car felt very balanced and smooth. There were a couple of other MINIs there to keep me company. S-Driver set up his Go-Pro in my car, so he should be posting some video soon.
I think VIR might be covered in snow from the storm (it was that big). I wonder how TrackDaze will make out with their early Nov day there.
Upstate NY had a little rain and some wind. Really not much at all, especially where I live.

Glad you guys fared well. My town in CT is flooded with no power. But I am 11k miles away so my info is from the town website. They say this is worse than Irene last year.
Well, end of day two without power here in Newtown. This town is 5th in CT ranking of total customers without power - currently at 81%. But I am running my generator and am the only person in the complex with electricity.....so I have heat, cold fridge, hot water, and cable. No power to the second floor so no PC - working off my phone.
VV - can't get to that video upload just yet.
Boy tho..... New Jersey really got hit hard.

Greetings, all. Power just back up on Saturday in my neck of the woods. We lost a few trees, but the house and, more important, the garage is fine.
FYI -- I did the SCDA autocross/skidpad clinic a few weeks ago and it was a heap of fun. It was raining so cars were skidding every which way, but it was a terrific way to get a feel for how the MINI behaves on the other side of "the limit." Better to find out at 40MPH than at 100MPH. Had oversteer working on the skidpad. Who knew it was possible in a FWD?
Was in second gear all day and probably learned more than I would at a typical track day.
