Happy Holidays everyone! 3 more days and the mayhem is over for me!! Yeeeah!

Might be a chance I will miss that opening TM's weekend. No progress on the steering repairs as of yet although its not like I've been trying. I ordered a Bentley manual to look at doing it myself. We will see...

Been doing that TM event since '08, damn...

Those dates caught my eye as well...a little too early to commit, though I guess you could say we should all be committed.

Will not be dealing with those keeler guys anymore. Thank goodness. They are a real mess since some of the people we know left.

My car will be starting its journey westwards on January 1. So no more new parts on it.

Happy holidays.

Yeesh, I leave you guys alone for a while and you start stuffing your cars into walls like you're marking your territory.

I'll be making my usual trek to WGI in early July, maybe a few dates at LRP. Gotta get the schedule from SCDA soon. In the meantime, the M has proven to be a fickle mistress - valve adjustment, etc.

See you guys soon!

Well, except guardrails, flat tires, traffic barriers, excess tire rubber, corded tires, bad shifts, early entries, late braking, dead batteries
Other than that...anything

we'll see

Guys,

My Mini broke down in Tucson az this evening. Trying to get it to Mini of Tempe right now. The lower suspension bolt in the rear driver side sheared right off when I was driving down I-10 at 75 mph. Lucky the car was controllable as I was driving straight. Big bang and lots of sparks. Pulled it over immediately.

Hope the dealer can fix it on Saturday. I have an appointment with the boat on Tuesday at LGB docks.

WOW! I hate to think of what might have been had this happened on track at speed. Glad you're OK, and hope they have you back on the road ASAP. Leave the MINI goblins behind stateside; we'll deal with 'em!

What is it with our Minis this year???
Glad you are OK; and the car is repairable.
You might want them to change the otherside out too.

Still stuck in Tempe. Lost some bushings so have to get them from AST. Mini wants to replace the entire arm as they claim the threads are stripped. So the saga continues.

Slinger, just use that titanium/platinum/gold whatever level you've got AAA to tow it to Hawaii! Don't tell me they won't cover that for you!

The bolt that connects the bottom of the rear shock to aluminium rear suspension arm snapped. They said what remains has stripped.

Why it snapped is more of a guess than anything. They just want money like most Mini dealers.

Yup, will miss the ship. Working to see what can be done. Will catch the next one one week later but will have to have a rent a car for a lot longer.
