Hit one of them there traffic "barrels"......but that was relatively nothing - it was the Jersey barrier that started the slippery slope to race car status!

Amazingly tho - no Cinderella coach has appeared yet to transport me and the car!

What did you think of that crazy pic I e-mailed all of you. Imagine the barrier was on my side of the road.
Saw the pic and was surprise how the guardrail turned into a spear as you said. It just sliced through the front of that car. That was one lucky lady. Hope she sends you a nice bottle of whatever to say thanks for being there when she needed you...

What, it's not going to be a "street legal" race car
If it has a rear hatch, you could just rent a U haul truck and take it in that. Or just ship it by UPS... Just a thought or two..

Say, maybe Slinger could follow your "slipery slope" and have his MINI turned into a state side track car he could run when he needs to get his "track fix". I would be veeeerrrrrrryyyyy happy to "watch" it for him when he is not using it...

Hey guys, My travel plans have changed again. I think I will be in town beginning of April for 5 days or so over a weekend. Not sure if we can meet up for a reunion of sorts, perhaps April 6-7 if you guys are available?

I cannot tell you how many times I've avoided accidents in my 2 months of owning this car. Some people assume everyone else drives a tank SUV. When I drive, I check in frequently with my mirrors and keep both hands on the wheel on any road just like I was on a course lol. Avoided killing a opossum last night by about two feet because I was only doing one thing-driving and paying attention.

Just received the police report and they attributed 100 percent fault to the other driver so I am happy.

Just wonder if my insurance will go up now.

I know exactly the feeling. Still this is not quite as bad as my orange colored Lotus Elise. People seem to think that was some orange peel on the asphalt.

Slinger! Just catching up. First time I've been on NAM in maybe two months. I've been buried in home improvement projects since the beginning of December. Jeez, that's some wreck. Glad to hear you and your wife are OK. If you're around in April, I'll do what I can to meet up.

As for the rest of you, I hope to see you at the track. Especially you, S-Driver!

This little group joined together because of our interest in going out on the track. However, It is amazing how much of "track driving" is applicable to the street. The number one thing is to pay attention. I am sure the opossum is very pleased with your driving skill...Keep it up and hope you have many enjoyable year of driving your MINI...

Don't worry about your insurance...they shouldn't ding you for the fault of someone else. Mine didn't for my little unfortunate turn of events at LRP.

I have been doing home improvements for about 1 1/2 years on two homes. I think I maybe pretty close to being about to move on the my next thing soon. And I am getting pretty tired.

GKP, why don't you come up to Our get together. Just waiting for veggi to finalize.

Yup, my once a year veganism trip.

I think I will be staying in Milford.

I do not have transport so I have to get a ride from one of you, if possible.

Count me in. Yes, I will really try to make it, gentlemen -- promise! -- I know I am usually the no-show. S-Driver -- You're in New Milford, aren't you? What's the best way to team up?

Have any of you had a P0501 DTC code (speed sensor) that triggers a limp mode light but the car doesn't go into limp mode? That is this week's job on the ongoing tale of the Overly Sensor-tive R56. I swear I am going to buy a 1981 Oldsmobile and call it a day.

See you April 6.

Nope - Newtown! Very near you. Slinger's keeping it interesting staying in Milford so we'll have to meet up probably around exit 11 commuter lot, then just jump on 84.
