I've run at LRP a lot over the past two years, but didn't venture much farther. Thanks for the WGI info -- I'll look at it in the next day or two.

Nothing to take back! And certainly no offense taken. I'm sure I'll see you again soon. I moved into a new house two years ago and started a new job one year ago. These two things have kept me very busy and have made it tough to take 3 or 4 days to venture up to WGI. The nice thing for me about LRP is that it is so close to home -- only one hour away.

 

Understandable with a new house and job. Hope all is well and settled-in with both.

I might have been to LRP more if it was only 1 hour away.

 

guys, a quick update. I finally made it to LA after 3 weeks on the road, this time without drama. Car should be on the boat on Saturday.

Had a successful weekend at the Glen, part of which was do to having a great instructor. We worked on the bus stop and tweaked a few other thing. I really like the car setup with the camber plates. They got -1.5 up front on both sides. Best of all I got signed off for solo in the B run group...I'm gettin' there...

The car doesn't like cross winds at all. Sunday afternoon the wind picked up an was blowing across the back straight. Coming out of turn four the back end of the car was was wagging. Took me a lap or 2 to figure out what was going on.

Slinger - 6 days on the first set of Z1s I got from you and still not down to the wear bars...I must not be driving hard enough
I think they are going get replace with the Toyo R888s I got...

 

Sounds like a great time at a fantastic track. Wow, you still have a few track days left on those Z1s.

Looks like I will not be attending any track days this year either. Have to settle a few more things then look for something in CONUS, likely in the SW.

 

I think the East Coast would be better for you! I understand CT is very nice...

I am confident that eventually, Slinger, you will become nostalgic for LRP and we'll see you there.

I'm still chasing a limp mode engine light problem. No track days until the problem is found. Today they are going to put in a boost control module and see what happens.

 

Ordered the shocks and radiator today! Progressing....

 

I am already having some pretty severe withdrawal symptoms.

 

Was that from that Alta junk tune?

 

Which shock did you go with?

 

AFCO 3830C shocks...

This is going to be a "pushrod" set up...kinda like a a sports racer.
