SCDA HPDE Schedule
Ok everyone, this is what it is like to drive in real rain; from last Monday's SCDA adventure in the wet at LRP:
I have uploaded the following which are of the "downpour" session that we had. It is in 2 parts so I could get it all up there.
Part 1:
Part 2:
This is the 3rd session that was in the semi-dry and has my quickest time:
and, yup, that is a car in the guard rail to end this session early.

my splitter would have become a dive plane in the early vids!
it is official. I am signed up for the 'CCA school at WGI for 18- 19 Sept. any other advanced drivers want to join? it would be a much better than average track day experience. they litter the track with seasoned racers and see how we cope. make a really long weekend out of it! i'm towing a long way, but it will be worth it for 5 days at WGI.

The most water I have ever experienced on a track...my fastest speed was attained on the way down to Lime Rock on dry pavement. Still had fun, though! Thanks to my pit crew for the quick wheel changeover at the start! May do another day July 15th if the weather gods cooperate this time round.

Also glad you managed to whip that new crew into ship shape.
Ask him to give me a call or get me on e-mail. I can perhaps catch some lunch or dinner with him.

I saw some guys with a "Lemons" race car with a plywood splitter out there in another run group. I think they missed the really heavy rain, though.
VV - glad to see you made it home OK. The last session really wasn't tooooo bad
Perfect day at Lime Rock. Got there super early and reserved prime real estate under the trees. It was hot, so the track was nice and sticky, but a nice breeze kept things from being too oppressive. It was hot enough that Lime Rock not only allowed short sleeves, but they allowed shorts! Classroom sessions were well attended due to the A/C in the room! I ran first three sessions in INT.2, then the last with the advanced group. Fastest car at the track today was a GT-3 Cup car, who was running 58 second laps even dealing with some traffic! Other than being passed by a certain orange Lotus during a full course yellow (sans point by), the courtesy level was good. Switching out sessions in the afternoon had me finished by 2:05, and I was swimming at Bash Bish Falls by 3. Home before 5, with almost 1/4 tank of gas left. All track days should be this good!
What - No brakes

Just signed up for LRP w/Patroons on 10/5 - any other takers? It's a Saturday
I also have WGI in Aug and Sept with GVC.
Maybe I can finally wear out those Z1 that I got from Slinger

It's a good thing you mentioned he was your buddy, otherwise in addition to talking to him, I would've informed Ian/Elivan. I could see he was going to pass so it didn't surprise me....just poor track etiquette. He left early, complaining of possible food poisoning. I swear I didn't go near his food!
Well, I told him to say hi to you...and he was the only orange Lotus there. His first name starts with K and ends with h, same as a certain first basemen for Mets a long time ago...so yes, it was him!
Confirmed for Lime Rock, August 26th. Will run Intermediate in the morning, and Advanced in the afternoon, assuming the car feels as good as it did yesterday. Anybody care to join? S-Driver, can you come out with your lap timer?
