I'm torn a bit... 16's would be better for the track. 17's would look better on the street.....

blimey- enkei has a 16-S" sized which is about 16.5" diameter. It was specifically made for canyon carving. The S stands for Suckka.

I have to say, I just cannot recommend 17s if your MINI is your daily driver. Been there, done that, didn't like the teeth-rattling

CR&PW&JB - why I don't work at a milking farm. I just eat icecream.

Blimey- good choice! if TR still sells the Dunlop SportMax I recommed it in the 205/45/17 size. That's what I use.
Very comfy, nice grip, wide shoulders. looks like 215's or even 225'.

ML- if you get the right tires it shouldn't be teeth chattering. Also depends on sus setup as well. My G runs 35 profile 19's and is firm but super smooth/comfy ride.

I've been on 215/45R17's for 40,000 miles now with no complaints.

I'll be on Dunlop Z1 Star Specs. There is no other.

Ken, you don't have to work at a dairy farm to be pictured on the side of the milk carton, you know. When I called the American Association of Dairy Farms to report you missiing, they said they already knew. In fact, they were tired of getting calls about you. Seems you were missed more than any of us imagined. Hell, two people would have been more than I imagined.

Oh yah, completely forgot about the Starspecs. Yah, id do that as well.

Haven't had a chance to try it out yet so let us know how you like them.

I was thinking about wrapping those on my stock G wheels, but never got around to it...

CR&PW&JB - hahaha

I completely spaced out. We buy milk by the gallon so forgot all about the missing kids picture on those smaller paper cartons. so that's why you were talking about a milk farm... (My head no worky)

So the personal news flash of the day is that sometime in the past week, I was bitten by a tick. Today I had the big bullseye mark around the bite (which, until today, I didn't know I had) so when I got to work I went down the hall to Urgent Care and had one of the docs look at it. He had them draw some blood after looking at it and sure enough, I have Lyme disease. Ewwwww. 21 days of drugs and no sun

Yikes, Mel !!

At least you caught it early. If I understand that disease correctly, catching it early makes a huge difference in your recovery.

Now, stay out of the woods for a while, huh ?

I wasn't even in the woods! It must have been all that damn gardening!

But yeah, hopefully it's early enough that there won't be any long term effects *crosses fingers* So far, the headaches, fatigue, and fever are enough!

Yikes! Hope you get well soon, Mel.

Ticks are bad here this season, too - one of my sons picked one up a couple of weeks ago, and my wife has found two. Got all of them out before they caused problems... but everybody check yourselves whenever you're in the brush or bushes...

my pal had a hard time yanking the biotch off my head.
he tore off quite a bit of my hair in the process. ouch.

but luckily for me i did not come down with anything...
but my head was sore for about a week.
