OK, then best of luck. Sounds like just sloppy work.
yeppers. Jay went to talk to the manager today, and he showed Jay the equipment. It was the correct stuff. the tech did bad work. So they are going to pay for the fixing.
...Jay's Honda Element was driven to a MINI event or two and it has MINI stickers on it...so...Traveler/Clubman...just fit
I thought those were called Counterfeit MINIs???

I'm no Post *****! I didn't think anything that I Replied to warranted multiple quoting--but, then again, it was late, I was tired and just trying to get my 2 cents in before I hit the sack...
Florence, don't let these guys give you a hard time. I know it is daunting when you first start posting and it doesn't help when people give you a hard time. Give them a dose of their own medicine and keep smiling
You're sweet, Asya. Thank you.

I'm glad they're going to fix what they broke for ya, Stacey!!! Hopefully Jay is right and this is the last of your "unfortunate" luck (at least for another 7 years...is that how it works?)

Good to hear!! I still can't believe that a tech could fu... er, mess up a wheel that bad on the correct equipment, but it's great that they are taking responsibility!

Ok, I have some more interesting news about Soulfire......
I was on my way to MoT today to get my final warranty work done since I have about 600 miles left. I had a list of things I needed to get done:
Passenger marker light has mold in it
Dash rattle
Noise form motor when A/C is on and in Neutral
Check belt tensioner
"Urt" sound again, so maybe a new clutch/flywheel... again
I finally get to MoT after about 2 hours because of accidents on both sides of 695. I start taking things out and put it in a bag and when I get to the boot.... I find out that I have a MINI boot day spa! I have standing water in the battery box in the boot and the carpet is friggin wet!. Not this again........... I can't believe that I was able to make it to MoT with a mostly submerged battery and water sloshing around in there.
You can't really see it because I took the pics with my cell, but the water is about 3/4 the way up the battery. The boot carpet was wet and will probably be replaced, which was replaced back in Sept. I want to find out WHY this keeps happening in heavy rain. When this happened last, it had rained for a couple of days. This time, it rained for like 3 days with heavy downpour. I figured I would let everyone know and I will update this when I find something out.
What ever they do, it is all warranty and I have a loaner, so just as long as the issue is solved and everything is replaced. I am going to talk to them about rust issues as well.
Well, I got an update. The water came from the 3rd brake light. It turns out there have been a few out there with this same problem. The gasket, over time, ends up cracking and water gets though. I haven't even heard of that, so go check out your boot.
They are replacing the battery, but the cables and carpet seem to be fine.
