Hi everyone!
I *just* signed up about 5 minutes ago
I picked up little Ambrosia on 1/31 from Mini of Towson.

I've been lurking on here for a while and you guys all seem like an awesome group of people. I'm really looking to meeting everyone and bringing little Ambrosia out to play
I'm amazed at how many other Minis I've been seeing out in the area - especially in the Bethesda/Rockville area where I work. I've been too shy so far to wave (I nodded once though and the person nodded back!). Most of the other drivers seemed sort of oblivious though!
Anyway, I'm hoping to make it out to some sort of event soon!

the run starts at 11.
im new as well and ill be there. ive only been to one meeting. so dont worry, you wont be the only newbie there. plus, these guys will welcome you like you've known them for years. it'll be an awesome experience, if you can make it of course.

These Baltimore County runs Bill has put together have caused quite a stir here at DCMM, there are so many turns and ups and downs, you will loose track of where you are, each corner becomes the only thing on your mind, absolutely fantastic !
If you want to go "quick" place yourself towards the back of the pack, if you enjoy things a bit "slower" place yourself close to the lead.
Either way you will have a great ride......

It'll be a bit chilly but I'm game, if we crank up the music, rev up our engines, squeal some tires and just act generally obnoxious we'll have a car show ! Hah !

I know thi8ngs have been busy but I was wondering when to expect my replacement badge?
I did receive an email on 12.12 saying that there would be a delay. So, Just wondering how long. No rush at all. I just want to make sure that my dues and membership is up to date.

I am sorry about the delay, but I'm expecting the cards today. Between the holidays, our being away, then being sick...I've gotten way behind.
Everything goes out tomorrow...if I get the cards today....
edit: I didn't get the cards today. Perhaps tomorrow...I can't understand this as they are just coming from western MD. and were mailed last Thursday

To all members, please mark your calender on Mar 15th for DCMM Annual Meeting.
The time is almost here for our annual DCMM meeting! One of the most important parts of our annual meeting is an election of new board members. As you may not be aware, there are 7 board member positions, and each year there are either 3 or 4 positions open to election (the term is 2 years).
Stepping down from the board this year are Kurt Collins (Krut), Sam Carr (Sam). In addition, the temporary appointments of Chris Lekhavanija (Maxicooper) and Pawel (pyskacz) are up for election as well (they became interim board members after others stepped down last year).
Continuing on the board for the second year of their terms are Stacey Kim (MINInurse), Jaysen Kim (JustJAY) and Haemish Edgerton (Edge).
This means that 4 positions are open to re-election.
So - please consider joining the board and getting involved! If you are interested in being on the ballot at the annual meeting, please contact one of the current board members (via PM) to let us know.

I noticed my name wasnt on that list. i payed through pay pal through the dcmm web site. my pay pal account says the transaction was completed and that the money was charged to my credit card. if you just havent had a chance to get to it yet, thats fine. but was worried when you posted a list and my name wasnt on it. once again, i am not trying to rush you, and i saw that you would start the next batch this weekend. i must be in that one.
and thank you for all of your patience, and for putting up with all of these people asking you when they will get their stuff (including me). it seems to have been very stressful on you lately and i commend you for working so hard.

Generally, when I post names, it's actually the group who has signed up a month prior to the month of posting. In other words, it's Feb., and all these folks signed up in Jan. or in a few cases, Dec.
Since it's almost the end of Feb, I'm doing the Feb. sign-ups this weekend, and I should be all caught up.
