DCMM New Members Welcome Thread
Hi everybody. I met a few of you who attended the meeting at MOS a few weeks ago. Just wanted to say "Hi" (maybe this is redundant?)
Well - I just had the JCW suspension installed today. This is a big improvement.
The shop is
Autotecnica, LLC,
10351 Piper Lane
Manassas, Virginia 20110
Shop: 703-530-7171
They are near the Manassas Regional Airport. They did really nice work at a great rate ($70/hr). They have experience with many different makes/models from Mercedes Benz to motorcycles.

Starbuck - 2006 MCS, JCW: engine & suspension, M7: STB, Brake Rotors, Mini-Madness: JCW Air Filter, Polyurethane rear strut mounts.
Have a Happy New Year!

Glad to see you here and definitely looking forward to see you all at the future events. (Actually, there is one this weekend)
Heya All,
Just accepted a position out there at Fort Meade and will be out there in Mid-December. Transplant from the Hawaii Mini Motoring Club and shipping the car to MD early next week, as I plan to live near Columbia.
Also, will be signing up for the club soon after arrival, when I get an actual address out there

Hello everyone! 24 Year old british guy here, moved over to the NoVA (Falls Church) area back in July. I just bought my first new Mini (owned a 86 model back when I lived in the UK) from 'mini of sterling' on Saturday (from Lauren, if any one has delt with her before - she was very friendly and helpful).
She is an 08 MCS 'chili red' with black roof/mirrors. Included is; sports and premium package, 6 speed manual, anthracite headliner, rooster red interior with black piano surface.
Hopefully it will be going into production in the next few weeks and hope to have it in March.
Can't wait

I still have my 88 GT but I'd be embarrased to show it to you guys. Its faded from lack of care, plenty of basset hound hair inside + the huge dent in the driver door that one of my townhouse neighbors decided to give me.....and never did admit too.......whatever happend to being a good neighbor ? You could see my trim marks on his bumper but I still couldn't prove he did it.
I'll be getting rid of it come spring. "It" was a great car, I put over 100000 miles on it over ten years, even got 27 miles to the gallon a few times, she'd only go 85 mph no matter how far you pushed the gas down, at least that's what the speedo said....hah !
Anyway....sorry for changing the subject.....welcome all new members !
