Hey everybody! I just signed up this evening, and earlier, was at the Coffee & MINI meet in Bowie tonight. Had a great time!

Welcome aboard Chase. I live in southern SoMD by NAS Pax River. I go by Sunderland quite often. I would like to get to more of the DCMM functions, but it is quite the trip from here. Nice looking DS MINI. Have you joined the Dark Silver Owners Club (DSOC) yet? We are a great group and much better than the other groups.

I signed up for another 1-year hitch, sent in my check, it was cashed, but I have not received my new ID card yet. No hurry though. I don't get much chance to show up at places where I need it and Tate takes my word that I belong and gives me the discount.

When did you send in your check? I never got word of your renewal....

 

We will definitely have more of the events down to the area. One of them that already has a tentative schedule listed in the calendar is "MINIs by the Bay".

I do not recall who led the packs at last years MBTB, but I was in the first pack and had a blast, who was it ? Katie ? or did she sweep ?

Anyway, I hope we can find out because that was one of the "quickest" runs yet, Leona and I did nothing but laugh and giggle the whole way ! Just like a roller coaster ride

It's one of the best DCMM's run events. The tentative date is on April 25th.

My check is dated 10/25/07 and that is within a few days of when I sent it in. I think the person that it went to was out west fighting fires or something like that and the check wasn't cashed until sometime in December. I got word today that Byron, our card maker is out of town all this week. Therefore, the cards will not be mailed til this coming Saturday, 2/9.
I should have the cards by Tuesday. The packets will go out next Wednesday, 2/13.

Sorry for the delay, but it's beyond my control...

 

well, i finally completed my registration last night. ive been meaning to do it for days. so im finally a member. ill see you all at the breakfast at towson.

p.s. any idea how long it usually takes to get the card and shirt and "mystery swag"?

The member roster just grew by one! I've had my MINI for about a month and a half and I am, of course, in love with her. I go to school in western PA but I'll be home next weekend for the monthly breakfast at Towson
I'm extremely excited to be a member of this community and can't wait to meet some of you the 16th!

Where in Western PA are you going to school. Our home is Johnstown, but we are currently holed up in Southern MD.

 

I got to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). I'm but a short drive away from Johnstown! In fact I pass a few exits for your town when I drive home and back.
I like it here, but this area has very poor motoring weather during the winter. Always some kind of precipitation and overcast skies

I picked up little Ambrosia on 1/31 from Mini of Towson.

I've been lurking on here for a while and you guys all seem like an awesome group of people. I'm really looking to meeting everyone and bringing little Ambrosia out to play

I'm amazed at how many other Minis I've been seeing out in the area - especially in the Bethesda/Rockville area where I work. I've been too shy so far to wave (I nodded once though and the person nodded back!). Most of the other drivers seemed sort of oblivious though!

Anyway, I'm hoping to make it out to some sort of event soon!
