Havent seen many of those. Mostly I am dodging huge SUVs that might as well be two lanes wide since they are in more than one lane at once.

I saw a CR (couldn't tell if it was a Cooper or a Cooper S) driving on NAS Patuxent River today at 4pm turning to go towards the front gate!

First- No matter how many minis are out there, they are still special ! Nothing else looks like it !

Went over to the eastern shore today, I think Route 50 is the Mini highway. I know I saw at least 20 of both varieties - just on the way back !

Most were Indy, Hyper, Chili, White, black and dark silver. Unfortunately/fortunately Wensley was back at the office - I hate driving her for work related things, co-workers are not quite as picky as me when it comes to her treatment.

I have also noticed near my office at Rt3/301 and 50 there is a PW/Blk MCS and a Dark Silver/Dark Silver, shiny wheels, stub antenna.

This morning driving North on RT 123 near Tysons, I saw 3 beautiful MINI's heading the opposite direction about a mile apart from each other. I felt like turning around to join in the parade!!! They were:

CR/S or it could have been Solar. I think Ive seen you before
CR/W with bonnet strips and driving lights (we looked at eachother but were both to busy motoring in traffic to wave )
And a Blue (not sure which shade) with Union Jack on the roof. (I love that)

You were all sooooo pretty!!!

a big thumbs up to you for waving...
I live in that area so if you see a BRG/silver MC that would be me. I always try to get a wave in. The other day I realised that because I am left handed that some might not see my wave. I would want to be grouped with the "never waves".

If it was in Vienna near Beulah this morning either around 8 am and then around 9 am, that was me. Sorry I missed you, keep waving though

I agree the MINIs are unique and special but the wave ( I used to wave at every MINI - see the earlir posts in this thread) is not so special as DC and Annapolis has so many of these Little Ones.

In May 2003 I was one of the few in Capitol Hill with a MINI (at the 1st C.H. Parade it was I and another MINI, only ) . Now we there are 12 MINIs in a quadrant block. In Annapolis the same. Just last week a lady who lives across the street from us came home with a MINI.

... and if you wave at me I wave back

There are 100s of thousands of Jeep Wranglers on the road and they keep waving ( I used to have one). Its not about being special so much as it is about camaraderie. Plus its a nice thing to do

I was up at Antietem Battlefield in December when they did the illumination. When I pulled up to give a donation I over heard a guy in a great country accent say "That's one those Mini Coopers" What a hoot ! I got the feeling he'd never seen one before.

Oops

Was driving home this evening from the Broad Run/Manassas train station and came up next to dark silver MCS. I waved at the guy and didn't get a reaction - then I realized I was driving my Honda CR-V instead of our MCS. Poor chap must have thought I was nuts

Had to drive from Reston, VA to Owings Mills, MD eaaarly this morning for a training class. Motored a good bit of the way on the toll road/495 in front of a MINI with the license plate "EZ2PARK". Took me a few to figure it out (backwards - from my rear view mirror - and crazy traffic!).

Thanks, I needed the grin that brought to my face in order to slog through the rest of that drive! While I love motoring in my MINI, there is a reason I live 2 miles from where I work!

spotted, r53 on rt 1 through old town, dark silver, with what looked to be wide gun metal wheels (with spokes that stuck out far), big dual exhaust, and actual size sticker on rear pass side.

whoever it was was weaving in and out of traffic like they were running from the cops.

date: today 830 am

Kroylat and I tagged a 02-04 MC IB/W on Lanham Servern Rd. The guy probably though we were some weirdo as we walked up and put a card on his car.

I get the same thing here in Southern Maryland (St. Mary's County). I give them a card from DCMM with my e-mail address on it as a local contact and they all say that it is a great idea and that's the last I hear of it. I have been tagging people for 4 years or so and have yet to get a reply from anyone. I don't know what the deal is. I'll keep trying though. I imagine a few have joined DCMM, but I have no way of knowing if they did. Hope to see a good turnout of the DCMM faithful at the Dragon.

We had a great moment driving back from MINIs by the Bay. A big truck drove next to us, we both had our windows down. The guy leaned over and said "Nice Plates" to Paul!

(Paul!s plates read AHH WTF)

((I asked Paul! first if he minded if I posted what his plates were, since there are a lot of new people in the club))

Was that DCMM?

I passed a line of Minis going the other way as I was driving my Mini up Mount Airy Rd near my home in Davidsonville, MD on Sunday morning. Was the DCMM? I was in a hyperblue/black MCS.

Yep, sure was. I think I remember seeing you look at us as you turned a corner (am I correct?).

Why weren't you with us?
