From: if home is where the heart is, then I must be in Amsterdam
There's a real nice CR/B MCS with black bonnet stripes parked in front of my office - corner of Rhode Island and Connecticut. Has DCMM and LDG stickers on it.
I was driving around the mall on the day, but I don't have a mini sunshade though.
your mini has a twin out there Saw what looked like a lighting blue with white roof parked in the Athletic Club parking lot today. Didnt get a good look, I was on the roof
I just dropped off my MINI at MOS for it's first 10,000 service and they gave me a "hot" Dodge for a loaner. Somewhat disappointing going from a MINI to a Dodge. Hopefully they won't take too long...
yesterday at the 4 way stop in front of the northern-side entrance to the King St. metro, I saw TWO CR/W MCs side by side. One of them went south to King Street while the other followed me under the train tracks up Commonwealth Ave. This was immediately after spotting a BRG MCS heading west on King Street. I need a third hand for waving while shifting and steering.
I hardly ever post my Alexandria encounters, but four minis in such close proximity with no prior planning was notable.
After a long day at work Wensley and I had the pleasure of passing three wonderful Mini owners and happily had our waves returned ! I think that's a record for me.
Cars were:
MCS Yellow w/blk roof @ Powder Mill and 197
MCS Hyper Blue w/blk roof and stripes in the AG farm on Powder Mill
MC Red w/wht roof at Old Gunpowder and Briggs Chaney (Out of state tags ?)
Thanks guys and gals for making me smile and remembering that there is life outside of work
Cheers,
Mike
PS- I forgot to post that I often pass two MC's in the A.M. on Powder Mill Rd, though I did not see them today, the lady owners always a wave and give a "Mini" smile, starts the mornings off right too. One MC Yellow w/blk and one MC BRG/Wht

How is it that we've never passed by each other in Alexandria! Do you ever shop at the Whole Foods in Old Town?
I do, but's just around the corner from my office, so I'm often on foot. I like to take the alley entrance when I'm driving. I don't get to tool around Old Town as much as I'd like and I have a really short commute that bypasses Old Town traffic. When I'm with my family, I'm usually in a dark blue 06 Sienna. When I'm at work, my mini is tucked away in the basement of my parking garage.
Wensley and I had an all silver MCS up our chuff today on Powder Mill road, sorry mate....we can only go as fast as the traffic in front of us No need to get so close....
Back ups in this area are par for the course at 4:30 in the afternoon
Yesterday on Fairfax County Parkway, approx 2:00 PM, right behind the Best Buy, saw an orange convertable mini, plates read MTY MINI. Was in my friend's Mazda so no wave attempted.
mannnnnnn i never get any waves from any minis ....i wave all the time and very rarely in my ( centreville /fairfaxishhh area) to i get a response. lol

You do realize it's not actually the Mini that waves, right??
for all those who have never gotten a wave and have that empty hollow feeling inside (hehe yeah i need to get a life )...we should pick a road and a specific time to drive down that road so we can all wave at each other...maybe on our lunch breaks on 495 somewhere
