Are there any of these out there? And if not, if I did some contacting with the vendors, would anyone be interested in a group-buy (assuming I could convince a vendor to do a special run for us)

I did notice on Sunday that some of the other clubs have there own badges. I was wondering why we didn't have our own as well?

I think its something we should have to go along with the cool clings.

Is it gonna be white like the logo?

or can we get it a little more "web 2.0"-ish, maybe like the MF ones?

Anything done would (some how) include the original DCMM logo, and sent to the board for approval.

I had talked a little bit to Gabe about them at MOTD. Yes, it will have to go before the board before ANYONE attempts to get badges made.
If we do it, Craig (COOPERation) had designed the logo, and made a circular one as well, and we all would have to decide if we want to make one.

Now here's the question, how many for magnetic vs metal? Obviously magnetic would be cheaper in the long run...

I too would prefer mags, since I already have 2 holders on each car. And it would look better on my fridge if it were magnetic!

NO METAL BADGES! That was so 2005. Serious though, magnetic is the way to go IMO. There are alot of people that have the grille badge holder now and it is getting popular.

Once and If we get approval from the board, we will discuss pricing and designs with the powers that be. Just have to wait to see what everyone thinks.

The Italian Mini Club (the other club I belong to) this year in their Registration package - every year members new or old get a swag- there was a grille badge that came with the bracket but it was also magnetic which is on fridge as I don't like to put badges on my MINIs. If you do something like this people can decide how to use the badge.

When the time comes (if it comes) PM me, and I'll get you the company that did Hampton Roads' badges for them.

I'd order 5 if they came in black.
