A go for us!
John: another great drive choice. Joyce and I will be there.
Alright everyone, this is it: this could be one of the last, nice drives of the season before the snow falls. Here's hoping ya'll can make this drive a big success. It looks to be a great drive with some nice twisties thrown in for good measure. Canaan Valley is always a favorite of ours and if you come and drive it, it will be yours too.
Good job, John on the planning. Let's keep this post going and going. We need a show of Mini Force in WV!

Come on everybody, let's drive!
Calling all Country Roads Mini owners: this is the fall drive of the year. You just can't miss this one. John has cooked up a real Key Hole Tour for us to enjoy so why not be a part of it?
We are a relaxed bunch, so no formalities prevail. Just good friends and great drives. Well, GREAT friends that is.
Mark your calendars for October 20th and be sure to be there with us for some good food, good times and great friends.
Here's hoping that some of our early members who drove with us can make it again.

A cold, fun day today.
The Keyhole Tour was just about that. Talk about twisties. We came in hot on a couple curves in the road and the G Forces made my head dizzy. But really, all in all, John did a bang up good job of planning the drive and the trip course. The drive took us through places I've never been through in WV today. It was like a test of our driving skills. Thanks John. I know Lee was really holding on tight.
Once we arrived at the Purple Fiddle, the fellowship was great as was the food and the live entertainment. It was truly a good day to be out in our Minis motoring happily away.
Our November drive will consist of a place somewhat nearby that we can sit down to dinner or lunch, and just enjoy relaxing a bit. Would love to be sitting around a fireplace somewhere with hot chocolate talking about past and future drives. So put your thinking caps on where we could do this get together. I missed my co-pilot today an wish Sue could have come too.
Now can't wait until the next drive; before or after Thanksgiving? Motor On!

Finally got around to posting a picture from the Key Hole Tour. The Country Roads MINI's enthusiasts are pictured by the covered bridge in Philippi, West Virginia site of the first land battle of the Civil War.
We did not get to do everything that we had planned, but as usual miles of smiles was the order of the day! I'll never forget cornering by the wind turbines on US 219 north of Parsons. The rotating blades and twisty road definitely had a Mario Cart feel to it!
Looking forward to our next gathering!

I kept forgetting to show off the photos from the keyhole tour.
I'm including a link to the full album.
