Skillet, I really feel bad for you and what she did to you is wrong, but it is time to let it go. I would like to thank you for putting a post in here about Pandora.com.
No problem.

I disagree with deleting the thread. There's too much fun in this thread, and let it be a warning to others To those who think I'm blind...I'm not. Yes there was always that voice in the back of my head that said "you're a fool" but there also was a voice that was yelling "you'd be a fool not to step forth and try to pick this baby up..."

As for banning Apple/Sandy/CyberGypsy, that is the moderators call. I don't think it's gonna do any good, but who knows. All she'd have to do is create another alias and post again...

BTW: This last post was not intended to be a "I've found out there is no car" or a "I'm giving up." I'm just stating at this point, with Sandy not keeping in touch with me, the odds of this happening are quickly diminishing...

I don't know that it was intentionally cold hearted Norm, tho I do agree that it is a shame.

For me, I feel less bad for skillet, who always knew that this outcome was a possibility than I do for her. What has she gone through that has made her into the sort of person that can't get a positive form of attention from those she surrounds herself with?

There are things that everyone lies about on the internet, like how much they weigh or what color their hair is... but those things are really inconsequential because... everyone knows that everyone else may lie about those things on the internet, for a variety of reasons that make sense to the rest of us. Those things aren't important and don't mean that I am going to spend less time hanging around Nancy because she said she weighed 125 pounds, and she actually weighs 200 pounds. Who cares?

But this... this is a whole other ball game. This is most certainly a cry for attention and the behavior pattern that has come out of everyone's research in this thread is serial so this has been going on for a very long time. Apple needs to be in a therapy program to wrestle with these demons, and I suspect that she is probably in denial and does not believe that she needs help.

I hope that she sees my post, because even if she does have the car, the behavior pattern is disconcerting and is not healthy and she should seek help.

Sorry for the amateur lesson in human behavior patterns...

+1
I have said in the past, she sounds very lonely. It's a shame but don't mess with peoples lives.

I don't want to see this thread close - it is just a "what's on your mind" thread.

Oh and sorry Skillet I had to take the tree down, but will leave some needles in the carpet for a while longer if that will bring in luck!!!

I think it would be a shame to close or delete this thread. I have followed this thread from it's beginnings (better you than me skillet, I would never lasted this long) and it has been a fun, everchanging, straining-from-looking-at-the-computer-screen-too-long experience. This thread has grown faster and bigger than any other thread in the classic forum, in recent history. I am sure that there are lurkers and posters that didn't know much about the classic and just found this thread by chance. Plus I wanted to see how many times I could use the word "thread" in one post!

Yeah, the light is slowly dwindling at the end of the tunnel. I have released the hounds and I'm looking forward to a report from them here later on today or tomorrow.

What an amazing saga. The good news you only invested time and hope and nothing of a finiancial nature. I would post more but i have to answer this email from Rawanda about a once in a lifetime offer . It says I am due several million dollars and I will be able to buy you a classic to make up for your pain and suffering . Carry on.

What a coincidence! I just won the MICROSOFT lottery and was going to buy Skillet a classic mini too, but since you have your Rwandan money to spend......

Someone said it in an earlier post. She's not all tightly wrapped, all her dogs aren't barking, a couple can's short a six pack, not the sharpest knife in the drawer... you get the idea.

I don't know how someone can buy so many cars spending that kind of money and still live in a trailer park. Also how can someone with a son spend that much time on various internet forums. My advice to Apple, buy less cars, use the cash and get your son in a better home, and spend less time on the internet and more with your child. You need some serious counseling.

It has been a good entertaining thread, and I feel for you Skillet. But its about time to close I think, or perhaps just move to 'off topic' and quit hijacking the classic forum.

Since this is looking more and more like a snipe hunt, why don't we hunt down CyberGypsy in her little trailer park as an offshoot of MINI's on the Dragon in a few months?

We know where you live.

Oh and believe you me I see it more times than you'd think. Some people couldn't care less where they live just so long as they have a roof over their head. You wouldn't believe some of the clients we have that are still either renting or live in a mobile home (none of those particulary bad situations) and have like 3 or 4 really big giagantic flashy cars. It's all about appearances to those people I assume, and plus different people have different ideas of how to spend their money and what makes them happy.

I'm sure we've all heard the "different strokes for different folks."

I agree with you Norm. I've been a Classic lurker for a while (Ooh, is admitting the first step) and it's been fun hanging out with a wide diverse group of people. One day I hope we get that Classic we've all been wanting. I saw a white RHD for sale in downtown Mesa about a year and a half ago and I wish I had been in the position to get it. Hopefully I'll get the chance now that I am in a better state.

I wonder if this thread will start a new catch phrase: "You've been Appled" or "Don't get Appled"

Just FYI... I believe her son is in his 20's or 30's. I know that she mentioned his age in a thread and I remember someone asking her why on earth she was buying him a car when he should get a job and do it himself...

Ever notice how similar "Apple" and "A double S hole" can sound?
