Free Classic Mini...
Gooood morning to all of my favorite posters!! Wow, what a way to wake up!! To see that this Cybergypsy/Apple/Sandy person is truly one sick pup!!
Speaking of pups:
Gemgirl, I was half asleep last night and forgot to tell you how much I like your doggie!! Thistle, right? I love yellow labs and I love that name!! We had a YL named Clyde....he was our best dog ever. HE never knocked me down any stairs either!!
Oh, and sorry to hear that Nugget is still stripe-less. We drove Sloopy to Longwood Gardens last night. It was doing this snow/sleet mix and she handled it nicely-- no slip sliding or anything

So I can hardly type I am laughing so hard! I wasn't planning on posting anything else tonight. For some reason I went to check the "Cybergypsy" E-90 (BMW) link and see if she'd checked in there today.

SHE HAS APPARENTLY JUST MOVED TO KEY WEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Bet she's been really busy trying to get rid of any evidence to where she is and what she's doing. Oh no... what a web we weave.
Uh... road trip to KEY WEST anyone? Guess what... there's only one road in and one road out... and the only place left to go from there... CUBA! HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHH!!!!
For real... we still know where you are... and it's NOT KEY WEST!!

Misty,, where is the smiley giving a maniacal laugh??
I just re read this, so are you thinking as I am?? that she really didn't move to Key West?? I am thinking that she is nestled in her mobile home, trying to throw off the scent?? Oh and scent reminds me,,, so VW posters fell for her free gift scam too, eh?? And that was 2006.....now she has grown to 205 pounds (oops, sorry I digress) offering a whole free car.....
It seems she's mentally unbalanced...I certainly hope that anyone who is bold enough to actually drive to her home isn't harmed.
Sad...so sad.
Pyro mindset: She has set the fire (offered the free Classic) and is now lurking in the crowd, getting lame satisfaction by observing how one simple post has generated so much response.
This thread seems to be a drug for her...perhaps it's time for an intervention?

Oh the other night, I had opened the boot to take a package out and had my hands full and was not able to close it back up. I dropped off the package and proceeded to get back into the car and start her up without closing the deck lid. MINI went nuts and the same little sound that the back up sensor makes went off on me but in an even more frenzied way. I'm thinking "what is your problem, there is nothing near me?" MINI just kept screaming "no, no, no, no, no, no......" I finally noticed the warning light on the dash that showed her little boot door was ajar and upon stepping out and closing it, appologized profusly upon returning to the driver seat, for leaving her bum door down. My bad.
MINI knows best!

If I am not mistaken they were part of the convenience package. I have a 2007 Sidewalk cabrio and she was fully loaded when I adopted her. Since she was "pre-designed" by the dealership as what they called an Executive Demo, I am not sure which package the auto lights came with. There is a little "A" on the turn single lever where you twist to turn the lights on and off. When set on "A" a sensor detects outside light conditions and automatically turns the lights on and off. When I start the car in the garage, MINI turns her lights on as if to say, "watch out for the junk you haven't put away yet". (Oh and I love her "back up" warning system too.... more notification of junk to watch out for). Once I am out of the garage, she "looks around" for a second and then decides if I need lights. If it is bright, they go off, dim like when it is raining, they stay on. Fog sometimes confuses her as I think the fog makes her own lights reflect back in her face and as a result she thinks it is bright out. If I go through a tunnel, she turns her lights on to help me see. I just need to teach her how to read those signs that say "headlight test ahead". We have some roads in California that because of frequent passing accidents, they have us run with our headlights on even in broad daylight. I am pretty sure those just confuse her. She is probably thinking, "what... it's bright, you don't need lights?" It's not her fault that some idiots insist upon passing in areas where they should not pass.

You crack me up - mine tells me, "mom, watchout its REALLY REALLY cold out!" Sometimes it bings twice or more to indicate black ice weather -- but there doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason for how many times it chimes. Some days he's more insistent than others I guess! Maybe he's been listening to the weather channel while I'm gone.......
CC, ok now you started my favorite subject in the world.. animals! I love any and all animals, well except mice i guess. I am a member of every animal society there is... I will protect any animal and don't ever mistreat an animal in front of me or i will pull out an entire case of wup a$$!!!!!
With that out of the way, allow me to introduce everyone to Thistle the princess Yellow Lab.She is a true spoiled princess...diamond collar (not real of course) and 3 beds depending on which room she is at the time.
she loves the MINI convertible and going to attempt to attach a photo...

Hadn't had a chance to get Pet Photos posted, we have two 4-legged critters. Here is a pic. of MY Baby Girl Sadie, she's an almost 7 Year Old Chocolate Lab Mix.And "Rosie" MY Husband's Australian Shepherd Mix, she just turned 3 in December.
http://i290.photobucket.com/albums/l...y/IMG_1543.jpg
They are never far from one another so to get pics. of them apart is unusual.
Each of our girls were rescue dogs. Sadie was adopted from a Rescue Shelter in The Dalles, OR, we drove an hour to go and fetch her. And Rosie came from the SW Washington Humane Society, both were puppies when we brought them home.
Sadie is our "Wild Child" and Rosie is "Licky Dog", but we LOVE them to pieces and they are SPOILED to no end!!

Rosie is our "talker" and "whiner"!!
Sadie has mellowed with age, though get her around other dogs/people and it's "YOU ARE HERE TO SEE ME...PET ME...PET ME...PET ME!!!"
YOU WENT THERE!!! BUT THAT IS FUNNY!!
ok now don't throw that Apple at me but tell me what i missed (because i'm not going back to find it) how does Travolta family and the Depp family come into play with where she lives?
explain slow please, for a women that usually reads too fast and misses some details! Dam speed reading class!

So, on the VW forum there is this thread about famous people. She claims her dad married Johnny's mom, so he's her step-brother. And John Travolta lives next door.
Just read news that John will not attend the Golden Globes today, due to this sad sad tragedy. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Travolta's at this time of great mourning!!
Sounds like my husband's dog Dorcha - she's literally an attention ****, and to say she adores "dad" is the biggest understatement of the millenia. He's a huge OSU fan, and now dresses dog up like dad for games - she has almost as much OSU clothes as he does. And she patiently lets him do it, too. My dog can't stand bows in her hair (always have to warn groomers well in advance and a few didn't listen to me. tsk tsk tsk) but HIS dog... *Sigh.....*

First off, BEAUTIFUL BABIES guys! I love love love animals. Funny, I LOVE furry babies... but human babies, 'eh... they kind of scare me.
I have four furry ones. My Jack Russel girl- Ms Jacqueline Russellini, George ("Cooney") the big red dog (ummm... ok he's a cat but he's a big Maine Coon Cat that thinks he's a dog), Josie and Chloe are my two Himalayans.
We got George after my cat Abigail died unexpectedly about 2.5 years ago. He has her spunk and more! We bought him in Alabama from Backwoods Zoo Crew and he rode most of the way home with the top down! He's almost 19 pounds now and these cats grow for 2-5 years. I'm hoping that he'll get to be 35 pounds like the famous "Leo the Maine Coon Cat"... but we'll see.
I got my girl Chloe as the first cat I ever bought. We noticed about 3 years ago when we moved that she was totally blind! We never knew... and the doctor didn't know she was until he looked into her eyes with the bright light and saw that she had no blood vessels. No idea how it happened or when it happened. Josie is her baby (I had bred Chloe one time and raised one litter). The two girls are 13 and 12 I think.
I was told in September that Josie was going to die from end stage renal failure in September... her numbers were SO bad and she was really in bad shape. I had to wrestle with the decision of "should I put her down". I didn't want to put her in the hospital like I did with Abby because I didn't want her to be alone and scared in a metal cage. (Abby had died in my arms the night I brought her home... and it was not a nice experience.) The vet had said that I should take Josie home and enjoy the weekend with her. I had just bought some cat treats online called "Katcheeze" (hadn't bought in like 9 years) before I knew that she was going to die and I was pretty upset that she wasn't even going to be around to eat her favorite treat.
But Josie is still here!
She's sitting beside me as I type. I don't know why, but we got to spend Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's with her. She seems to be doing much better than she was. We have a heating pad set up under a little bed near the couch and that's "HER" spot. I've had to order several more packages of "Katcheeze".
I would like to post a video of Jackie and George because George taught himself how to do this really weird trick. Together they are funny.
Speaking of animals... every winter we get this swarm of tree swallows that comes through. They are really amazing to watch... there are 1000's and 1000's of them and they fly around looking like a giant school of fish. Does anyone else ever see these large groups of birds in their area like in the summer or something? Over the past two weekends I've taken video but again... I'm not much of the internet techie.

OMG, Miniola, tears in my eyes just reading about your babies!!!
Thistle is blind in one eye, we don't know what happened, but when we first saw her at 3 weeks she was fine, when we brought her home at 10 she had a detached lens. Her mom, wasn't good with her liter and Thistle was the runt.

Yeah, CC, I'm with you on the dressing-the-animals thing. With Dorcha, it started as a little joke, but she enjoyed the attention so much, it's now a ritual at game time. THEIR ritual, not MINE. My dog, our two cats, and I just roll our eyes.
That's awesome about Josie, miniola! No rhyme or reason, but it's just great to enjoy her company as long as you can!
When I lived in Germany, we had swallow swarms quite a lot -- they would dive and dodge in between PEOPLE in our military formations (that actually got kinda dangerous!) and then I had problems with them trying to race my car! (The MINI up a very twisty mountain.) It was an awesome sight to see!

OM MY GOD!! I leave for just a couple of hours and I have tons of posts to read!! I love it!!
1.) X uh oh X I love your hubby and his dog!!! Go Bucks!! Hang on Sloopy!! Woooooo hoooooo! Seriously your huby is quite handsome and the dog looks ( sorry CC) awesome in that OSU garment. Jeez I have this terrible urge to dot the i.....
ok, what else,
2.) Gemgirl,, we have a Silverado 2500 pickup and we chose to take Sloopy out into the mess,,, I wanted to see how she would handle, I have read so many horror stories on here about RF's and snow/ice,,, had to see for myself...and she passed another test!!
3.)Miniola, your kitties and pup sound like "personalities" just like you!! And here's to hoping Josie has many more days left!! I guess I should post a photo of my pups (notice how in my mind all pets stay in children form?) especially the culprit that pushed me down the stairs thinking she was getting food...she is a miss Piggy...and in person she looks like she wouldn't say boo to a ghost.
let's see, what else?
4.) I personally don't think that Apple could get any satisfaction from lurking on here and seeing our barbed comments, maybe in the beginning when we were all so excited for skillet maybe but in case she does/did, I will refrain from now on,,,,,I know for a fact early on we got under her skin and I mainly liked to post ( now that I think that she is a hoax) to continue to stay under her skin. She has given us one valuable lesson DO NOT POST PRIVATE INFO ABOUT OURSELVES ON PUBLIC FORUMS!)
5.)If this thread dwindles away we will all have to go over to maybe the Random Thoughts thread?? I think its time for the goup hug??

Be cautious! The Random Thoughts thread is a slippery slope, a dangerous and scary place sometimes! Wolfeee had to start another thread (Even MORE Random Thoughts) that wasn't so "family oriented" *ahem* if ya know what I mean! No biggie, though - since most of us post here, too, anyway!

Group Hug time indeed!!
I can't hear another sick pet story, I'm in TEARS over here!!
I dread that day, as naughty as Sadie is and as obnoxious as Rosey is they have stolen our hearts and I can't bear to think about being without either of them. Hek, I cried when we had to leave them at the kennel for a 2 Day Golf outing with my Company!! And they've visited the kennel for longer periods too.

Happy Posts from now on!!!
Awww. Will why do you build me up....just to let me down?????
I don't know how to do it either!! I think way back like 10 -15 pages back someone told Big Norm how to do it on this thread, but it was too technical for me....
maybe just copy and paste the link???
Go to youtube and copy the last part of the address (ex: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3Xbc5X-sQA) x3Xbc5X-sQA is what you want. Then in your reply, hit the youtube button and insert the x3Xbc5X-sQA between the youtube tags ( [youtub]x3Xbc5X-sQA[/youtub] ) Add the "e" on the end of Youtube, though. Make sense?
You need to put the YouTube video number (?) between the YouTube tags:
youtube]8PbgfvtGuVE[/youtube
I left off the end brackets show you could see the code
BTW: Tom Petty is from Gainesville. I wonder if Apple knows him. I'd like his autograph.
