Yeah, but did Chevy Chase ever hang his underwear on your doorknob? Didn't think so. Oh CC you're making me be naughty again.

ROFL! I hear ya there! Apparently... Viggo Mortensen is a neighbor of mine by that logic too!

That's cool about Chevy Chase! I've never met a celebrity like that. I did meet Adam West once at a car show when they had the classic batmobile at the show, and I met Mario Andretti and got to sit in his car (I think it was a rolls) when I was a kid because my grandpa was a grill cook for the ABC crew at the Indy500. The story my grandpa told was that he smelled the food coming off the grill and had his driver bring him over to us because he wanted some of my grandpa's secret recipe grilled chicken. I don't remember it very well other than this beautiful silver/gray car and him shaking my hand and offering to let me sit inside the car while he talked to my grandpa.

That's really it.

Anyone else have a cool celebrity meet up story?

Hrm... maybe we should start a thread on that too...

I met Arnold Schwartzenegger several times and also met Lou Ferrigno (sp) I used to enjoy bodybuidling and one of my workout buddies was arnold's bodyguard when he was in town for the Arnold classic..... lord why can't I meet celebs with easier names to spell???
Oh yeah,, during the Arnold Classic I got to see Marie Shriver ( wow she is sooo thin)
Let's see, as a kid I saw Pete Rose and Johnny Bench on a regular basis at the local racetrack....my dad was a standardbred trainer/driver and apparently Pete Rose had his gambling addiction very early on,,,
And once as a kid I spotted Phil Donahue at a local nursery.....I actually think there are more but this is the best I can do first thing in the morning....
Do professional ice hockey stars count.. Todd Fedoruk dated a co worker and she brought him to a barbeque.
OMG and I just remembered that I have met local celebs ( ones who give the news on the local news stations.... several of those came to the dental office I worked at.
I have a hunch that this will bring out alot of names and posts!!

Ok I'm going to show my age here, so let's see who remembers...
I kissed Tommy James (and the Shondell's) 3 times, at 3 seperate concerts
It became so funny, by my friends and family it became a hobby!!!

No i'm not weird... the first time I had the oppertunity and then the second time, years later, my friend said "Dare you"... and the third about 10 years after that my husband said "I don't believe you"... Tommy, his staff and I were hanging out after a concert the last time and then i was offered a job with his staff...

BTW - I'm not a shy person to say the least but all in good fun!!!

I remember each one of those times.

(Hey, if Apple can pretend to have a free classic Mini, then I can pretend to be Tommy James of the Shondells)

I think she meant "I spy..." Like when we were kids (well I still do it) but traveling down the road, someone would say "I spy something orange" and the 25 yr old, named "Skillet" on the MINI forums, in the back would point and say "a 1979 Classic Mini"

Only I know what she's talking about with the "travel game" (are you reading this Sandy? )

Good question...As soon as Sandy decides to get in touch with me, we'll know. I've got people lined up to look at the car for me and take these "pictures" that Sandy can never follow through with...

its ashame to think that someone would be cold hearted and pull a stunt like stating they were giving a classic mini for free and not......hopefully you will hear from apple and at least get some sort of anwser....even if it's a no go, some closure would be nice

Big NOrm.....i think you can give Skillet some closure by deleting the entire thread and banning Apple. We can then pretend this never happened

Are you kidding me? I can't believe it took nearly 1600 posts for you to realize this isn't going to happen. I've kept my mouth shut since this thread started, but I can't take it anymore.

Skillet, I really feel bad for you and what she did to you is wrong, but it is time to let it go. I would like to thank you for putting a post in here about Pandora.com.

Well, it does seem like she's had an onslaught of cars in her 48 yrs. 64 (I think is what she's up to now) I highly doubt...but she's had a few.
