I think the kind of snipe he and everyone else is referring to is some sort of metaphorical snipe. The snipe may in fact be a bird, and may in fact be extremely hard to "catch" or extremely rare. Therefore led to people saying when something is impossible or hard to achieve that "it's like going on a snipe hunt." It probably developed into more of a mythalogical being such as the jackalope or the chupacabra...

I dunno what the true meaning is really, just a guess. All I know is that whenever we're camping in the desert and have had a few to many, someone is bound to bring up going on a snipe hunt just for the fun of it (basically meaning to wander aimlessly and pull some shananigans..)

Hey... chupacabra's are real!
It's a shame they don't run in packs in Florida.

True, but the statement about it being a non-existant animal is what I was responding to.

And you mean the chupacabra isn't real?????? I read about it on the interweb, it has to be real.

*blush* well, don't know if I'd go that far... I have thought about posting a link to our thread over there regarding CyberGypsy/Apple/Sandy/Resident Caraholic, but can't decide whether it's out of line and just to let it go, or do it. She still has not responded to me. I know she was home last night (don't ask me how I know) yet no response...

I'll have a medium, square BBQ Chicken or Philly Cheese Steak pizza!

I recently saw a "fur-bearing trout" that had been caught near Sault Ste. Marie in the UP of Michigan.... Seems the colder climate has caused the local trout population to mutate in order to survive the winters!

My guess is that she was a posting maniac somehwere other than here last night.

Pizza sounds good. I've only had a protein shake . Just curious... does anyone else eat hamburger (beef) and green pepper pizza? I've been told that's mostly a "Maine" thing.

I don't eat beef of any sort.

cabwy, i took a photo of her in the garage but she is sharing the space with much junk, a snowblower and more junk... photo isn't good and you can't see the seats... I'm being too lazy to pull her out of the garage to shot another. I could post that picture or wait until i pull her out.

hum, i'll just shot some photos of my toes instead-

Ahh... I like where this is going!

Sorry that you've got "junk" in your garage, but we are expecting a picture of your new stripes! No toes before pizza.

It's like 3:06 now... is there a delivery guarantee?

What kinds of toppings do we like?

I normally go for the "meat-lover" kinds of toppings: sausage, pepperoni, bacon, ham, ground beef. We usually add some jalapeno peppers too.
