Hey Miniola!... pass me a beer please and thank you! My Dad had an identical Dart years ago and before that a Morris Minor('59 I think it was). The Dart was just about bullet proof. The Morris had a really cool exhaust note, and a rusted out floorboard.

I like that Dart better anyways!!! You will have more fun fixing it up. The chiropractor that I go to is fixing up a Dart, he takes his classics to car shows and he is really excited about this Dart.

My dad had a 66 Dodge Dart. That was the first year you could order one with disc brakes and power steering and he got both. Very solid car. It died when someone ran a red light and T-boned the passenger side (with me in it). The chrome was still shiny and very little rust on the body 13 years later. Good luck with it! I assume you're getting it for free, since it's on the free car thread.

Thanks for sharing!! see Apple?? It isn't that hard to share photos!!!!

No, seriously, you guys did some major improvements. Our house is an old house too. It ws built in the 1920's and they are a lot of work, for sure. But they sure look great when all spiffed up. We have very similar entryways,, I put a Waterford light fixture in our entryway too, but I opted not to do the standard handelier type,,kit is a dome light but it extends down a good bit and gives off the most beautiful dappled glow....
You just have to love those termite experiences,,,right?? aaarrgghhh!!
You guys have done a great job,,,,

OK, MY TURN!! Pics?? I grew up in an 1820s farmhouse...think I was the only 11yr old who could rewire a house. I never realized how much my taste ran towards Mission-style until we moved in to this house - all the antiques I've been collecting for years all fit VERY nicely into that genre. I have to admit, the Waterford chandelier was a splurge, but...meh. It was my 2nd anniversary gift, and it was the first time we'd seen each other for any length of time in over two years! It goes with us when we move. So what's up with your house? Is it a big 4-square like one, or a bungalow type? How long have you guys been in it?

I forgot to say that my dad's Dart had the 273 V-8 engine instead of the slant 6. I must've inherited my speed gene from him.

Love the before and after pics.

We have a 1978 Ranch that needs some work too. We've lived here 5 years, it was not taken care of very well. There a lot of 'To Do Projects' on the list.

We try and do one major project every year, this is our "Forever" house so however long it takes is however long it takes!!

okay x uh on x,,,, I will try to scrounge up some photos,,, I don't have a bunch like you do. The house is an old Dutch Colonial, and while I have lived here now ten years my husband has lived here since the early 1980's.
He has slowly made imporvements over the years and of course I added my touch (well, more like touches) when I moved in,,, I didn't do before and after shots and I don't think that he thought to do that as he has progressed along the years. We just added new windows, insulation and siding in the pst 4 years,,,, it's a lot of work but I love our home.
BTw I spotted your MINI in some of the outside shots!!!

My neighbor had one just like that when I was a kid. I recall it got backed into by someone across the street. The "gang" witnessed it and so did the owner. So he called the Coppers who arrived quickly (not anymore they don't ) anyway the guilty party tells the cops he didn't do it and the cop says "How can you say that with a dozen witnesses over there ?" (pointing at us snot nosed mongrels) Of course we're all like "Yeah ! You did it, we saw you ! " Just like good kids should.....

Funny what a picture can stir in the memory !

Pizza was great, my buddy makes a great cheezekake, anyone interested ?

You all have beautiful homes! I'd offer pics of our lovely condo here in San Diego, but all the sunny blue skies and warm temperatures would just get in the way.

I was thinking about taking pictures of my toes, but decided to take a pic of my posting prize from CC instead:

Name: IMG_1248.jpg
Views: 43
Size: 34.3 KB

Funny thing: the pic is close to actual size! But its actually bigger.

Can't stay for the fun today. Have to go to the dealerships to pick up the cars. Been Cooperless. 4 hours up and 4 hours back... doesn't include pee stops.

Cheesecake is good with cherries. Haven't had any in at least 1.5 years.

Bye Bye! I'll miss you.

Love the houses ladies!

yea, if we do that we might get some unwelcome snow ***** thrown our way!

oh, and p.s.
I would post pics of my new house (it's my and my fiance's first house) but I'd be a little embarrassed....we still have a LOT of work to do!
