Free Classic Mini...
Oh - I'm sitting in a big soft recliner, with feet up and the wood stove is blowning on my feet... the pup is sleeping in her bed that is right in front of that same wood stove... picture coming shortly...
Of course now that I searched for them I can't find them. But they ARE out there somewhere. Maybe someone on here will let us know? Maybe it's a NAM vendor item?
I ordered my "Bait Car" sticker from Joanne @ http://www.stuckonminis.com/.
I haven't gotten around to ordering the topless sticker yet.
She is very easy to work with and good prices. I was actually her first NAM customer (you can verify that with her, I know how skeptical this group is
) .

Things have slowed to a crawl. I thought we might get there later today, but now I'm not so sure. If I take a nap and find out we made it though...
Ok... so welcome to the loony bin over here. Thanks Scooop for keeping us in line... it was almost becoming one of those "EVEN MORE FREE CLASSIC MINI" threads!
So we're safe now, right?
So anyway, sikamini- that's really strange that the stronger side was on the Northwest.
I can remember being scared when Hurricane Charley was out there in the Gulf. It comes over Cuba as a Cat.2 (mom and I are just chilling out on the couches) and then not long after they saythey can't believe it but now it's a Cat.4!
Originally it was going to head north of us and since it was such a small storm we thought we'd be fine. But after they announced that it had strengthened to Cat 4 they said it was going to turn in further south NEAR US! We really weren't prepared.
The storm suddenly turned into land further south, down in Punta Gorda and I can remember the weather guy saying, "Don't worry... once it hits land the strength will drop down to practically nothing". But Charley continued on in like a little buzzsaw all the way through to the Northeast part of the state. Once it hit land, the path showed it running just east of us... and then we lost power. Being a weather nerd, I found it challenging not knowing where it was. We lost power for one day. The eyewall of the storm had missed us by about 15 miles. BTW- we have underground utilities here in the neighborhood. The bad part is when the country mice on wheels (generating power) get blown away, the power is gone.
We had one Tropical Storm when I lived in downtown Sarasota and we didn't have power for several days. No damage... and everyone around us except for our street had power. The husband and I went looking at the lines and there ended up being one stick shaped like a "Y" that was touching two wires and preventing us from getting power.
All in all... I'll still take it over the months of straight cold. My Maine blood is pretty much gone.

'nuff said.
BTW- did anyone see anything about the peanut butter salmonella scare? Well, made me think of how many years it's been since I had peanut butter cookies. Just made some.
They smell yummy... think they're ok to eat... so have one if you'd like! We can be like the purple Nike wearing clan that was heading for the Spaceship in the comet!
Was it the Hale-Bopp? Sorry... don't feel like Googling.
Buh-bye!

Those storms sure are getting stronger. What really is interesting from the climate perspective is how quickly they seem to strenghten now. I bet even a degree change in the Gulf has an effect.
wow, I'm back from a night out and we are still on the same page!
Am I not supposed to be posting anything, have we decided to stop talking?
well I think that is impossible for me, all my life people have asked me to stop talking and it hasn't worked...
it is sleeting out, BTW. for any locals wanting to know the weather in Eastern Pa at 10:53 pm...
fire still going, feet still in front and I was going to take a photo of my toes in the photo just for giggles but haven't had a pedi in a little while.
Miniola, any cookies left? 1 please!
