I just checked that other forum and looks like Apple (or other AKA) has posted just this morning at 8:24am...

Big Norm any phone calls to see if Apple is going to follow through with this? If she doesn't she should be kicked off this site. that is not right!

I appreciate it all. She's actually out there on other sites. I swore I wouldn't disclose this cause I know I'll just see eyes roll, but she's been banned over at MacWorld, and she's on the 8thcivic forums (posts there on a daily basis). Although she has not been on the site since the 15th, all she'd have to do is log in as a guest and it'd still show her as not being on here since then...

So here's for the eye rollers: 1.) Martha left (we have known that since the 27th). Title and plate apparantly went with Martha to Vancouver... Martha has now filed for another one and according to Sandy will be a couple of weeks.

2.) No pictures. This lady has "no time" to take pictures yet she's on forums writing and crap. Give me a break...This is getting rediculous.

3.) The phone number she gave me has become disconnected. So what did I do? I called the mobile home park she lives in and the lady verified with me that a lady by the name of Sandy lives there and had a red MINI.

4.) As for her offer to have someone come and look at it...I called up my uncle who was more than generous to go look at it (considering it would be a 2 hour drive for him). When I told Sandy, she started back pedaling stating well I'm awfully busy this week. Yet she's at her house every day

There, it's out in the open. So I'm still waiting. Probably will be for a long time as she can't seem to get off her *** and do anything that she has promised... At this point, if someone would offer to pick me up at the airport I'd fly down, just to get the photos myself or end this once and for all...

 

skillet, Good for you for finally making this public!! She really should not get away with this. Like many of us I tried to stay upbeat and positive but frankly this kind of person should be banned from all forums.

IF this is an actual, honest offer she needs to discontinue all of the backpedaling and dishonesty and be upfront about it. I mean, YOU didn't go to her or post on here and ask for a free classic mini,,, SHE posted it.
YOU have been a good sport and very upbeat throughout this saga.
As for the eye rollers, now you all can get on here and say " I told you so" but seriously, do you think we all weren't suspicious also? But hey, I have some new really good friends from this thread and I am thankful for that.... and who knows, Brian just might really get his classic,,, stranger things have happened,,,right?

Brian, I agree, and believe me if any of us spotted that post first we would have jumped on it also. Pilotart, you are so right,, this was worthwhile holiday reading and thanks to Chubby Checkers, skillet and 2 others got a little classic mini,,, some people are true to their word!!

 

You are correct, I should not have implied that she was a phish.

And although I have not believed or agreed with a lot of what she wrote, she does not fit under the bridge with the Trolls either.

She only had her red MINI for a few months (seems typical of how long she keeps cars) and traded for an '06 BMW as she needed room for RE Clients.

Most 'tainted' posts I saw were her offers in NAM Marketplace "misc" for the Boot Nets and Leather Folder "with all but Owners Manual" for sale from her red MINI.

This would be like if she sold you a house and then you discovered that the light fixtures had been sold from it.

It looks like she is a person with no friends and needs forums to keep her company! She is a sad person to do this kind of stuff to people. my biggest pet peeve is and always has been, People that mess around with other peoples lives!!!

As Cabwy said, I too have met great friends here and am very thankful for that. (i will get to finally meet you at an event)

If i lived in that area i would personally drive you to her house and knock on her door!!! imagine her face if someone confronted her about her dishonesty!

Skillet on the upside, you still have your MINI and you can keep that for a while longer! so you have one up on her!!!

 

We have a word for people like Apple out here in California: a flake. I am not ready to call her a horrible person who should be banned or whatnot. She seems to be someone who will make offers, promise people things, etc. and not follow through, and there is always some "good reason" such as being too busy or whatever. So with a flake, you learn to take everything they say or do or offer with a grain of salt, knowing that they probably do have every intention of following through but most likely won't. Then, if it ever does happen, you're amazed and think "huh, it really happened!" But you sure don't expect it to. So I say we don't completely give up and start/continue the Apple-bashing; we just realize that she is a major flake and take that for what its worth.

On a better note, have you guys heard of Pandora (the internet radio station)? You can select bands that you like, and it'll play their music and music similar. If you don't like it, select the thumbs down, it'll stop, and take note of what you don't like, and not play that song or songs like it again. It's pretty neat! No commercials and free... Then you get the desktop application that runs in the background instead of having to have an internet page open for Pandora...

 

Well, at least I didn't see any "Free Classic BMW" posts on the other site!

I was wondering the same thing...with all those other forums, how many other "free" cars had been offered up.

I'm sad to see this thread winding down. I was really hoping everything would work out. At least we were all thoroughly entertained for the last month or so...especially they NYE crew!

And BTW- I take personal offense for the troll comments! I have a perfectly nice pink haired nudie troll that rides on my dash... her clothes flew off with the top down). Ms Pink Troll goes on trips everywhere and has been quite pleasant. Surely there has to be something else to compare her to?
