Think it is easy for kids

How is it done? (from the printer's standpoint)

I can't see any of those 3D pictures.
Here are the hints:
The one with the MINI logo is the random dot picture.

Thanks guys for all the positive comments on the cake. They made me all "weepy"!

I was almost going to remove them from my gallery but it was late so I ended up leaving them. I wasn't sure that I would be ok with a critique... . (Ha Ha)

This was my FIRST decorated cake... and I was glad I was able to salvage it and let it evolve into something else. I've only made just regular cakes- rectangular or circular- usually one layer with plain frosting and no decoration. The husband had gotten a gift certificate for me to take 3 cake classes at a local bake shop. Didn't make it to the first one to learn any basic techniques (have to go do that in January)... went to the second class where I learned how to layer a cake and put in fillings. All cakes and fillings were all pre-made there so I didn't learn how to do any of that. Third class was the final class and that was when I was going to do my MINI cake. I was sick that day and when I got to the class, the cake that had been made for me was too small to accomodate my stuff. I was so bummed. I had molded and built my MINI front end out of the fondant (fondant can be used to build things or roll it out to cover cakes) and had the whole scene planned out. I still have that MINI front end and the other things so eventually I will make THAT cake. I didn't want to waste the MINI on a stupid cake.

My cake is a white cake that is totally from scratch. It's dense but very moist and really yummy flavor. (It's the only real cake that I know will always be good.) This one was 4 layers (about 9-10" high) and each layer had buttercream filling (butter, powdered sugar, vanilla) and the fondant was made from melted marshmallows, powdered sugar and vanilla. I'm definitely not a professional cake girl... just watch "Ace of Cakes" on the Food Channel and want to be like that when I grow up!

cabwy- Funny you should mention the "cake area"... the husband says, "Don't you want to clean up that area before you take pictures?". I'm like, "Hell no! ... that's my proof that I actually MADE it!". It was cleaned up some though. I am extremely messy when I cook!

CC- The unusually dark "beer" is on of those Coke Classics. The husband swears that they taste better in those little bottles so I got him some for Christmas. He was nice enough to let me have one. The best Cokes actually come from the Mexican food store though... since they still use real cane sugar... at least that's what HE says.

I wonder if it is some kind of medical condition like colorblindness why I can't see the images, or if it is something else?

I would have to agree with the opinion of minicooperwill in that the color of your car is very beautiful as is, and its ability to change with various lighting makes it special. Defining it by adding a certain colored stripe would hinder that beauty.

I know, I know... if it was a matter of "crazy" I'd have a whole list of things I could "see" in them!

MtyMous you seriously look like a guy I went to high school with. When I got out my yearbook and looked... the resemblance is uncanny.

Did you happen to grow up in the midwest? If so... I'm PM'ing you...

Good for you!

I quit cold turkey, but I got an app on my iPhone that tells me how long it has been since I had a smoke and it also tells me how much money I have saved by not smoking, and for some reason, that seems to help. The saving money thing never really bothered me when I was smoking, but now, just seeing that there and feeling like it's some sort of... tangible proof that I did the right thing when I quit makes it easier.

I know it's weird, but I quit smoking over 8 months ago, and I still get cravings. I've heard from other quitters that the cravings never really go away. So opening this app when I want a smoke helps me get through it.
