I've been lurking the entire time, but wanted to get the "whole" story under my belt before I chimed in. You guys/girls have had me lauging and crying all at the same time...what a Great Bunch of MINI enthusiats, New or OLD; (MINIs I mean) to have as a CHEERING PARTY!!!

 

Even with a Sun Roof...I still can't see the signs!!?? Aren't they ALWAYS GREEN!!??

 

Just wanted to report that my authentic Mexican burrito was excellent and as of now I am not experiencing any intestinal distress.

We didn't celebrate in NYC... it is too darn cold!! We debated driving over to Camden to get a good view of the Philly fireworks but again it is too darn cold/ or is it that we are too darn old??

yeah. I saw "Yes Man" too. It was funny, and yet had some kind of deep inspirational undertone that just kinda makes you wanna go out and do something positive for someone.

I don't know anything about it... at this point just worried about making it through '09.

I do remember that the world was going to end on New Year's Eve 1999. That's why I went to the greatest place on earth- DISNEY WORLD! Figured if I was going to die- that would be the place to be... with Mickey and Friends. The choice was simple... either DISNEY(dangerous) or Peoria(safe). I like to live on the edge.

Does anyone ever remember the X-Files show that mentioned that Peoria would be the safest place to be during that time? (That's why I say that.) I don't remember what the show was about but...

Now don't everyone start booking up the hotels up there ahead of time!
