Hey freebies- I'm about to leave the house, because it's now raining INSIDE! We sprunga leak this morning and have buckets under the leaks. I came down to a 1/8th inch of standing water on the floor in a huge round puddle.... must have been more than that cause my beautiful wide plank antique pine floors are starting to buckle.
In general, while we haven't had as much rain as Atlanta, we are still measuring the rain in feet, not inches.

Geez TNMM!! That really bites. Had no idea you were getting so much rain. And the antique wide plank floors?!??! I hope they'll be ok. Do we need to go up and help fix your roof?

I just got internet back today. I have the phone/cable/internet deal... so when one goes out they all go out.

 

Ugh...sorry to hear about the leaks, TN. I hope those floors aren't ruined! It has definitely rained a lot over here lately - practically weeks on end (how annoying)...but I'm sure we can't measure our rain in feet.

 

Hiya Freebs! Just got back from our local Old Town "Grapes and Hops Festival" - pretty cool. Local vineyards and breweries came out for a tasting...Some pretty good, others...meh.

Anyway, while I was in Massachusetts for work, I happened to snag a late dinner one of the nights at a local pub (big microbrewery - John Hannah's? Something like that.) I had a GREAT beer. It was called Harvest Spice, and they served it in a pint glass with the rim dipped in thick cinnamon sugar. OOOYUM!!!! very good. And I haven't been impressed with many beers since I left Germany (I'm tainted now!)

Annnnyyway...it's overcast and rainy like, and it's already 5pm, so...i think I'm going to veg on the couch while hubband screams and yells at the TV playing the Ohio State game. His dog has been wearing her OSU shirt for HOURS now...

 

Hey Tnmm,,, that really sucks,,, it's so frustrating when things happen due to the forces of nature. You just can't do much about it when it starts turning on you!! Hopefully it isn't as bad as it initially looked. Will be sending you "dry vibes"

 

Hy UhOh!! I never got around to commenting on your high wire antics!! You are definitely the better woman, I could NEVER DO THAT KIND OF WORK,,I am not a big fan of clinging to the side of my house when up in the air 15-20 feet or so,,,,UGH!
I think the pub that you tried was a John Harvards? they have great beer, for sure.

Another weekend is over,, how do they spin past so quickly?? I have stepped up my workout regiman. I have troubles with weight training due to the fact that I use my arms and hands and legs so much during my work day so I am focusing mainly on aerobics (hiking and biking) and some stretches- pilates/yoga style. I think that is why I havne't been on as much, there is only so many hours in a day, right?
Le't talk Mini's,,, I still love my Mini sooo much, I was thinking about how this time last year I was new to the forum and also just test driving and dreaming. OMG-- I need to check and see what the date was when I signed up!! IT MIGHT BE A YEAR ALREADY!!

Well, Happy Belated Anniversary Cab!

 

Another weekend that went waaaaay too fast.

Saturday we went up to the big city (Nash-Boro) to do some shopping and meet up with TN for lunch. She turned us onto a really nice Thai restaurant in Franklin. Also got to meet her daughter, Meredeth. Nice young lady. Also went shopping over at Opry Mills mall.

After the shopping went to visit the in-laws for supper. Had a nice visit and some really nice home made lasagna. Didn't get home until almost 10 PM.

Today kinda lazied around until 1 PM. Then got around to changing the oil and filter in the MINI. I also installed a Fumoto valve to make changing oil easier next time. Now it's a quarter past nine and I have to start thinking about going to bed. Time just flew by.

wow, this weekend flew. spend the entire weekend doing homework! wish i could contribute more interesting stuff but nope that was it! oh well, I will just read this thread instead of boring everyone!

 

Sorry! Never crossed our minds. I'm really bad about not taking pictures of various events.

 

But they've already met at least once! Remember we posted the pics from MOTD? But Gem IS right, guys...we ought to treasure EVERY meeting and commemorate it with pics.

Doing alright here, thanks. It has been a typical monday, and as such - I really can't wait to get off work...

The weather has been absolute crap for the past two weeks...but it is trying to clear up right now. Hopefully it won't start raining the moment I get off work...

 

Looks like fall has finally arrived here in Tennessee. Today's high was in the mid 70's with a moderate breeze. Really looking forward to this weekend as we're going camping.
