And RJ I don't blame you for not taking her out in the rain. Especially after a nice detail. But aren't you in one of the rainiest places? We're finally getting a little bit of rain here.

I get my MINI back tomorrow. She's got a whole new clutch and flywheel finally!! I've been btchn to dealerships about the problem everytime I've gone in. Used to be just hard to shift into 1st from stop and I would have vibration in the clutch pedal and shifter. But over the last few weeks it got so that I couldn't shift into 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th too well. And the clutch pedal developed some weird resistance about midway. I was smelling that hot clutch smell too... something I had smelled before when I went on the BRP Tour last year.

But YAY!! Thank you FERMAN MINI and MINI of course.

 

Wow Ola' that sucks!! I've read some scary Threads on here about bad clutches...glad MINI is taking care of you.

Uhhh...YEAH...Rain Capitol of the Lower 48...not really, but it sure seems like it sometimes!!

 

Well I feel much better now about it. I'd have hated to keep trudging through and waiting for it to fail AFTER the warranty. THAT would have sucked.

Hey AK...glad to see you FINALLY got out...how's the Weather??

 

Weather as of right now is absolutely gorgeous, though a bit chilly at 48*. I'm not complaining though - it had been blowing and raining for over a week prior to this (which also made for a very bumpy plane ride here...I got sick ).

I got to see some river otters fighting along the riverbank just about an hour ago...what a sight!

 

I could use some cooler weather right about now. It's in the 90s here and quite humid.

 

Yes, it's surprising how much hotter it gets where you are.

 

Sorry you got the Urpies AK...I'll bet the River Otters were doing River Otter things like Mating??!! Around here, the Squirels start to chase each other this time of year, it's Spring you know!!

Ya' know AK...Gem is right...you really should find out why you are getting Sea-Sick while flying and why the Dizzy Spells won't go away!! From a Caring Woman who knows what you are going through!!

I am doing so much better Gem...Thanks!! Hubby even noticed Today that I was walking faster...well, it was Raining Cats and Dogs here!! But, yeah...I'm doing much better...a Week and a Half and I'll be going back to work. I'll miss my 2 4-legged Kids though!!

Oh...and the reason Hubby noticed was because I went with him to a Doctor's Appointment...it was kind of weird NOT being the one being "Poked and Proded"!!

 

Hello from Sand Point, AK. I arrived here yesterday afternoon. Oddly enough, I managed not to suffer from airsickness - and the flight was even bumpier than the one to Chignik!

And believe me, I have full intention of seeing an ENT once I get back from my field work. Unfortunately, Kodiak is a place where the ENT only comes down once a month and I haven't been in town for the ENT's last couple visits to Kodiak. I'm planning on flying up to Anchorage on my own so I can see one there.

Getting airsick (esp. in a small plane like a Cessna 185) and barfing (esp. in front of your ruthless coworkers) is NOT my idea of a good time. Typical male or not - I want to get this problem fixed (if it's even possible) once and for all. It severely impacts my work as well as my after-hours activities.

I definitely appreciate everyone's concern for my problem. Will keep you all posted on what I find with it.

 

AK, I'm glad you decided to see a doctor now matter how long it take or sounds like RJ will tell you a few more "thoughts" on your ego!!!

RJ wow, going back to work in a week and 1/2 that flew by. And I totally understand you missing your four legged family members. When I went back to work my baby was so sad (as I was).

So far this weekend (yes I celebrate for as long as possible) We went out to my favorite Japanese restaurant Friday; Saturday to Lancaster. This morning, hubby made me strawberry stuffed french toast. Later will be cooking on the grill.
I'm having a great day so far, and it's only noon!

 

Gem- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

I was hunting around for diamond cakes, gemstone cakes, dancing diamonds... you know... some kind of bling for ya! BUT I couldn't find anything really good. Then it hit me... DISCO *****! And really... what's more blingin' than a freakin' disco ball right? So here you go... a DISCO BALL CAKE! And the words that went along with this cake (where I found it)...
