It feels so good to get carded sometimes... but the last time I got carded, I went out with the gals and one of the girls said, "You're carding us! Wow that's cool that we all look young enough to get carded!"

The server said, "Well, to be honest with you, I would have served you without asking for ID because you all look over 21, but my manager's watching."

She totally killed the buzz.

LOL,, you gals had to press the issue, didn't you? You couldn't just enjoy the moment of carding ..... Oooohh,, that one is a funny story....
I honestly cannot remember being carded in eons,,, but it also adds up to the fact that I rarely drink. And come to think of it if I drink there is someone alwyas running to the bar to get the drink for me. Or order it for me. I have noticed that people who enjoy a couple of drinks really love it when a non drinker has a drink.
And I am not a purist, I just get thumping headaches when I drink.

Hey, that reminds me,, that is one time that I can enjoy a coffee!! It is when I order an Irish coffee with Baileys.... yum... and that seems not to give me a headache, I figure the caffeine counteracts the vaso-constriction that occurs from alcoholic beverages....

Salmon--- this is sad,, about the only time that I like salmon is when I get it canned and make salmon patties... probably not the best way to enjoy salmon,,,,huh?

OK...now for the Good Laugh!! "I GOT CARDED LAST NIGHT!!!"

I had gotten a Free Birthday Coupon from Red Robin, Hubby left it in Molly when we went to dinner, so he went out to get it and I ordered us drinks. WELL...the waitress asked "Can I see your ID"... I was SHOCKED!!! I almost said something, but then I thought, nah, I'll just have a Great Story to share with ALL My Friends!!!
WAY TO GO!!!! WHAT A WAY TO SHOW THEM... YOU GO GIRL!

just to add another good laugh, one time my ex and i were having dinner and we ordered drinks, for the record he was 4 years older then me... well waitress came over to take our drink order and she asked for his cards, i pulled out my wallet too, and she said "no not your honey, just his"!!
My reply back was "HONEY you just lost your tip"!!!

Ok probably should say this either, but one time I bought salmon in a can and when i opened it it was laced with bones... i couldn't even give it to the cat!

MCWill and Cab, get some salmon filets and throw them on the grill with cedar planks or Will on the foreman grill, they are really good. The ones at costco are good. My girlfriend bought them one night and had us for dinner, they already had the seasoning on them and it was delicious and easy!

But when we go out and I order a Fish Dinner, be it Salmon, Trout, Tilapia, Ahi Tuna or just about anything else I try, he gets a bite and is surpriesed at how yummy it is. That's a MAN for Ya'!!

Ahhhh Ahi Tuna seared is my absolute favorite! Hubby likes most fish except for salmon, it is to rich for his stomach. So when i want salmon i will make him some meat, steak or pork chops he is a happy camper!

IT Happened AGAIN!!!

NO S**t!!

We went to a Local Pizza Joint because Hubby got home quite late last night after a Flames of War Get together. We ordered our usual Pizza and Salads, the clerk mentioned that they now sold Beer and Wine, so I see a Bottle of Blue Moon (My Fav), Hubby ordered a Mirror Pond. Well...we BOTH got Carded...mind you Hubby is 49, Salt and Pepper Hair, including Mustache. Very Hansome Guy I might add, if he gets into trouble, I still tell him "you're lucky you're so cute!!"

He hadn't been carded in like Ages, but how irronic that I get carded twice in 2 Nights!!?? I have to admit, I did done something different those two days, I straightened my hair, but I didn't think it made me look any younger just a bit easier when you don't want to spen an hour just on your hair.

Nope, I'm a Colorado native (probably one of the few that doesn't ski). Came to AZ in '88. Lived and worked at the Grand Canyon for 3 years then came to the Valley of the Sun at the start of '93.

The Weather Channel is calling it the "Storm to Remember"! Sure am glad I'm not in Maine anymore! Someone I know just came here last week and left from Maine after 29" of snow! Hunker down Northern peeps! (Actually, when they harp on how bad it's going to be... very often it doesn't pan out... so fingers crossed.) We got a little bit of rain and it has dropped into the 50's. Yesterday was my "golden temperature" of 77.

We got about 6-7" last night. That's about the most snow we've seen since we moved here.

Gem- I've had the scratchy throat about a week ago and downgraded to head/chest congestion and a wicked cough. If I still feel this crappy in the morning I may call in sick.

TN- Did you get much snow in your part of the state?

Hi Hal,
We only got 3 inches, and it's all gone. bummer.. I LOVE snow. These past two years Maine has had LOTS of snow. I think it's cause Mom moved out of Maine for the winter.
I'm jealous of your snow Hal.. just jealous

Hi everyone!!! I can't believe that I haven't been on here allll day long!!
As for getting ready for the "big snow" I am ready, I love snow, and I missed enjoying that last snow since I was so sick. The problem with this storm is that I have a son driving here--- he is due to arrive around 1 am tonight .

So of course I worry. He is driving in from Ohio so he won't hit snow until the last couple hours of his trip, but I still worry.

I hear we are supposed to get high winds starting early morning, if that happens we will get drifts and I doubt if anyone will be going anywhere tomorrow am.

Gem sorry to hear you are sucuumbing to the "bug" it sucks,, and Hal I know your pain with that cough. I thought I was completely over it and darned if I didn't have alittle relapse over the weekend. I am guessing that because I took the dogs for a long walk on Friday that I maybe flared up my allergies and it manifested back into the cough. I took the narcotic cough syrup all weekend and bough an inhaler and I feel much improved tonight.

So much so that I actually gave my husband a nice massage--- poor guy, he is lucky to get maybe 3-4 a year...

It is snowing!! Sloopy looks awfully chilly out there!!
