Drove down to Chicago this morning from Milwaukee and schlepped my mom around a bit. Spotted:

- blue MINI near Knauz, probably someone on a test drive... it was a brief pass on a turn but I tooted my horn anyway.
- chili red MCS (I'm going to guess '04 or earlier based on the number of Chicago vehicle stickers in his windshield!) pulling into the Walgreens parking lot on Belmont and Broadway. I was getting into my MINI at the time. Looked for eye contact but there was none, so I let him be.

 

Spotted: MINISTI2005 and another DS MCS leaving Knauz parking lot to test run next weeks Chicago club spring drive

 

We looked for you as we went by the restaurant but didn't see you. It's a good run! Everyone will like it a lot.

You where head South I was headed North, so not much time for either of us to wave.

CR/B MCS w/xenons, driver had hands at 12 and 10 so I can understand the lack of wave. I started with a wave no response so I tried to flash, not sure if I got it off in time. (hope that doesn't sound too dirty lol)

I looked in your window and smiled, and i almost tapped on the window to say "i have a mini too, i know how it must feel" but thought that i'd creep him out. ha.

Ok I saw DS or RG with black roof sometime in the last two days on the highway some where so speak up if I passed you

This morning passed a BRG MC on 290, saw you backa t 53 and Lake Cook, no wave.

Also saw a HB/B black bonnet stripes and grille badge NB I355 near I88

CR/W MC RT53/I90 merge on RT53, passed you too no wave.

I'm starting to think MC owners don't like being passed as they don't wave to me

 

Maybe they're afraid of being boarded, Captain Sparrow...

LMAO only a 43.0 mile commute . Well more in the afternoon as I have to avoid certain traffic hotspots. ummm lets see west of Wacconda to Lisleish.

Check out the last several moths of my posts (when I was ALL OVER applying for jobs) in this thread it is not unusal to see me anywhere E of I39; N of I80 W of the IN boarder and South of Racineish WI. Though I try and stay out of the city unless I've got a good reason or its reallly late at night so I can cut up an "LSD trip" without having to deal with traffic. ye son occasion when time and budget permit I will go out for a few out drive to relax and unwind (It's about all ken does with his MINI now adays ) Makes it extremely easy to put on 51k in a year and a half.

Around 10am, Red MCS Cabrio with a great lightbar looking very slick at NW Highway just west of Hicks in Palatine. Minutes before, NEW MCS, Blue with some strange white lighting bolt graphics, NW Highway just east of Hicks in Palatine.

 

I'm guessing it's Robert, he'll be at the drive tomorrow.

Spotted a whole bunch of other MINIs today in and around Glenview, but I wasn't in mine... didn't want to get it dirty after getting a wash this morning those darn puddles

 

I am told that is the "Hammer and Coop" MINI. Here is a pic of one in inventory at Patrick MINI. Maybe someone was on a test drive of this one. Patrick isn't too far from there.

i flashed the lights, but you didnt even see me. i'm pretty sure dark silver rolls around stealth mode style...blending in with the pavement and all.

 

That is the exact one I saw! Makes sense, given it had temp plates on it...and I bought my car at Patrick and live in that area, so know it well...all adds up.

Today, Blue/White MCS Golf Road Schaumburg around 3pm, right near Woodfield Mall, might have gotten a wave but was full throttle, sorry!

Meacham Rd, Schaumburg, around 2:30, LY/B MCS with SANTA CLAUS driving! He was busy with something at the Woodfield Rd light and didn't see us two lanes over.
