Well, my starting point travelling eastbound at 8am is east of the circle to begin with, so if I catch you it will likely be east of that road that goes by the Preserve (East River Rd?)....

As for the DRagon, at least for this year, i can only be there "in spirit" .

Right before leaving Chicagoland, I was next to a DS/W MCS northbound on Cicero as I was dropping off rental at Midway.

 

On 2/10/06 spotted an '05 DS/B MCS in Spokane, WA. The car was sporting Washington plates but a Patrick license plate frame. A transplant from this area? I was not in my Mini, it was back at home.

 

BRG/B MCS @ Geneva train station on 2/16 at 7:15pm. We followed it up 3rd St. The MCS continued north on 3rd St as we made a left onto Rt. 38.

 

Thursday of this week, northbound on the Edens at 5pm or so - DS / MCS in the fast lane - I exited at Deerfield / Central road. Nice car!

 

Hauling up 90/94 with a black MCS, I had to pull back to exit at Caldwell.

 

On 2/20, was traveling side-by-side with a DG/B MC convertible on Lake Street from about Burning Bush to Rand Road. Waved, but not sure he saw me.

 

Spotted PW/B MC on Central Rd in Hoffman Estates by the SBC complex with a 20 something? female driver and a bumper sticker "Teach Masturbation" ... WTF?

 

Not a native Chicago'er (or even right in Chicago) but I am at Argonne National lab doing some research for the next few days (MINI-less). But I have already spotted several on site here.

MCC - CoB/Blue stopped @ the light in front of Papadeaux's on Algonquin Rd

MC - CR/W w/bonnett stripes and a Bulldog sticker on the boot parked in Papadeaux's lot on Golf Rd

I was walking into the restaurant at the time

 

I had a professor that works at Argonne, Adam Hecht, he always did trips to Stockholm Sweeden to do research, however he said that he was only able to leave the facility once for about an hour, the rest of the time he was stuck in the facility working. Great guy, if you are working with him tell him PHY200 says hi.

 

I am in Chicago this weekend, was turning off IL-53 onto Nerge (in between biesterfield & thorndale). An gentleman in a Blue MINI waved at me.

First time ever someone's waved at me.
I've been flashed before, but waving is cooler!

Dark Silver w/ Aero package, Willwoods near at the corner of Marcey and Willow, near BestBuy and Sam's Wine today. NICE ride! My wife and I were pedestrians crossing at the intersection when you drove by. The car looked great!

- SB/W MC ... didn't see her until she was almost past me... didn't get a chance to wave, but I know she saw me

 

Crazy day for Mini spottings:

1) Very nice DS / B mini with what looked like 18" wheels and a plate of MINIB (or something close) downtown on the River at just before Noon;

2) Nice BRG / W on the Edens northbound at around 4pm moving smoothly through traffic

3) Yellow / White eastbound on Deerfield Road around 4:30pm.

Good looking cars.

 

Yesterday, I spotted a DS/B MCS heading inbound on the Ike around 7:00 AM. I thought I was looking into a mirror until I passed and saw that this Mini was sporting a set of black bonnet stripes and a set of driving lights. Gave and recieved a wave.

Today I spotted a blue MCS Cabrio with a black top heading inbound on the Ike. This Mini was also sporting black bonnet stripes. Again, gave and recieved a wave.

Was out motoring on my MCS (woohoo~! ) yesterday and spotted a
Yellow/White top MC at the corner of Palatine/Roselle around 3pm in
Inverness.

He was making a left from Palatine onto Roselle while I was waiting
on Roselle heading south.

i was staring him down but he did not look my way AT ALL! :impatient
get another car goof!

 

We got a big wave from both driver and passenger of an EB/W MCS with a roof rack yesterday on Rt. 59 south of Schaumburg.

The MCS had Florida plates and looked like was having some fun with getting traction on the slick road

Spotted : about 6pm on Golf Rd eastbound MCSC LS/B -- Adam from Patrick MINI . Just met that morning when I brought my MINI in for service. Nice chatting with ya.

 

Wow, that's pretty fun, a coincidence, kewl! Patrick MINI aint been bad at all, but I hope they know how good they got it, with Mr. Hain.
