I had seen the perforated vinyl decals for the headlamps prior to attending MOTD'09 but this was the first time I had seen the smaller versions on the fender liner area that is behind the the lights on R53s, such that when you have your hood up, your car is watching you!

Can anyone point me in the direction of an online vendor for these?

Thanks and drive well...

The best way to get them now would be contact Tuls..."Chris" at Detroit Tuned. I dont think he checks the Rogue site that often so call DT and ask for Chris. The no. is 586-296-6001

I have tried talking to Tuls a three or four times via e-mail over a three month period as it was very hard to get him to respond. I was very disappointed when he said he would do it initially and then changed his mind. I was told he had to go back to wrenching to make a living, and Im guessing it was because business was too slow. If thats the truth, it would have been a great opportunity to make some extra money, as I was willing to pay a premium for a couple original eyes for my wifes and my MINI. He basically lead me on, seemily excited to do the eyes at first, but was then turned down. Other people would have seen these custom eyes at MINI get togethers we go to and it might have inspired a lot of people to do the same thing and brought in some nice business for them. Now if he just wanted to get out of that business and not do the eyes anymore, than just say so. I know the economy is dragging everyone down, but why turn down business if thats really what you like doing. Thats just bad business sense! Even if he said he would do it now, Id probably just look for someone else which is what Im in the process of doing.

I don't know when you talked to Chris but he has not been affiliated with Rogue for over a year. Perhaps he tried to get his former cohorts to do it and was declined. There is no more custom work coming from Rogue and Chris has no way to produce them himself. The remaining inventory is available from Detroit Tuned.

That would explain a lot. But, he never once mentioned he was not affiliated with them anymore, acted excited about doing it and then just said no after dragging it out for 3 months. Crazy.

Thanks, but I was needing a custom job. I even sent some pics of what I wanted. Vampire eyes for my wifes car and skull eyes for my car. Now I have to find someone else who can do it.

I did however explain to you how bad things have been. How I just lost my job (with no severance or unemployment) and got screwed out of about 10k in the process. Do I really have to quantify anything to you? I mean really? LOL

Sorry I couldnt do your eyes. I really WANTED to, I thought it was a great idea. Just dont have the time. I am trying my damnedest to just eat.

What do you Qualify as a premium? The eyes are modeled in 3D. Unlike other eyes that are just cartoons that can be drawn in a matter of an hour. 3D modeling a custom set of eyes can take DAYS. Then there's render time which means I cannot use the computer durring that time. So, I normall charge $100-300.00 an HOUR for 3D work... Sound good?
