New MINIac

Hello all, CHRIS COOPER here from South Bend, Indiana (north central, 1.5 hours east of Chicago). Yes my last name really is cooper, I bought my 2003 DS/W MCS in June ‘06, impulse buy! And I don’t think the honeymoon phase will ever go away. I LOVE MY CAR. Sorry, that slips out a lot. I joined the Northwestern Indiana MINI club for my first drive - AWESOME TIME!! Met a great group of people I hope to keep in contact with, and look forward to more drives. My car was the most boring out of the group, no strips, or decals... but in time I will have a hot rod also.

Motor On….

yeah, daily drive. love the looks i get too. Sexy little cars, and not too many of them in South Bend just yet. i stole the red S idea from someone else on here, but i'm sure they wont mind. question, how and where do you get the color club things, i see alot of them on here.

Your name is Cooper and you waited how long for a MINI?! Seriously, welcome to NAM and don't expect that Honeymoon phase to go away. If it does, do a mod! That always puts the spice back into the relationship, and the MINI never says no. Try that with a significant other! ("um, honey, could you try on these bonnet stripes? Well, then, could I hook this CAI up to you?") :-)

Welcome to NAM, Chris! Glad you found us and a big congrats on your '03 MCS! I have an all-Jet Black 2003 MCS. I plan on keeping her forever! I love her as much, if not more, than the day I took delivery, April 4, 2003. Of course, I have added "spice" to the relationship with the following MINI seasonings: K&N Typhoon CAI Kit, 15% Alta Pulley, Denzo Irridium plugs, Unichip, Milltek Exhaust, and an HR Compound Rear Sway bar... Very tasty MINI!

I had a since-able wife that wouldn’t “let” me get one. So I, and this is going to sound bad no matter how I say it, had to get rid of the wife so I could get my MINI!!! sorry that's not really funny is it? I collected 9 models in the meantime but finally have my full size MINI. It was my first big purchase as a re-singled man. along with my big screen TV and home theater system.
