Center Cap Decals

Anyone purchase anything from WebXtremes before? I was thinking of picking up a set of the MINI Cooper Center Cap Decals...

http://www.webxtremes.com/mini.htm

Any other center cap suggestions?

Thanks.

I don't have any experience with that company but I ordered centercaps from aesthetic creations and they have worked great so far. They are on a set of drag DR-19's.

Unless you want a specific size or color other than black, the OEM plaques are cheaper at around $3 each. Wanna buy mine They're new and unused with the protective plastic intact.

Quick question of relation:

Say I have a set of, oh I duno, 18" OZ ultraleggeras...can I swap out their center cap for MINI OEM caps? I really like the idea of keeping the wheels looking like they belong on the car. Ideas? Anyone done this?

The center caps from aesthetic creations stick right on top of the existing caps. They look very OEM, at AMVIV in vegas two people commented that they thought my DR-19's were OEM wheels.

Not really. You could, but it wouldn't look quite right.
The O.Z. plaque is 55mm in diameter but the OEM MINI-logo plaques are only 50.5mm. Also, the surface of the O.Z. cap is slightly more convex than the OEM plaque.
I suppose you could custom-order the MINI logo in a 55mm size but I don't think it would look as good as it should because the O.Z. plaques aren't completely recessed into the center cap or the wheel. They actually protrude from the wheel's center bore slightly and their edges are chamfered to soften the transition from center cap to wheel, so placing a plaque over them may ruin the effect. Maybe if you found caps that were tapered enough at the edges or were just 1 or 2mm wider...

I will post pictures in a few minutes so that you'll get a better idea.

I think your better option would be to find an entirely new cap that would fit in the existing hole instead of covering the cap with a plaque.

OEM plaque on top of an O.Z. cap for size comparison:

profile. notice the curved edge that would be lost with an overlay:

Here's the cap on 17" superleggeras (same style center section as ultraleggeras):

Hope that helps you decide!

While the Mini is great I must disagree that it is better than beer.

Maybe you could remove the outer metal portion of the O.Z. cap completely and stick the AC sticker right onto the plastic backing that snaps into the center bore. You would have to order a custom, larger size though.

Here are a few shots of the actual Aesthetic Creations' vinyl-covered stickers in the standard, OEM size (they ship very quickly if you don't order a custom size, btw) compared to the O.Z. cap:
