Official 2nd Annual Dragon Brew Swap Thread
I do believe it was Drillslinger who was in dire need of the Pyramid Hefeweizen. I'll check with him and if it was, I'd expect a PM from him about it.
There should be Yuengling there, brought by a few people. I know Jim Dowdy is bringing Yuengling and I'm pretty sure at least one other person is. Not sure though if they're bringing the B&T and LC. I grew up in Philly and moved away in 1997. Last year I had a very nice couple bring me a case of Yuengling that I could bring back.
If you want someone to do that for you let me know ASAP and I'll see if I can put you in touch with someone.

After a night's reflection on the logistics resembling 6 degrees of separation, if you know of someone who could bring a case/mixed case of Lord Chesterfield and/or Black & Tan and who would be willing to take a case worth of my Two Brothers varieties that would be great!
Otherwise, I will just take my chances. I'm still trying to figure out how to swap my artisan (22 oz specialties) and lambic. Those babies were expensive! But I think they will be fun to try to dicker with.
Found this on somebody's blog-
"So whether you call it a Black Velvet, or a Poor Man's Black Velvet, or a Snakebbite, or a Priest's Collar, I like 'em. And They knocked me on my a$$ last night. And this morning. So, ya know, that was pleasant."
I kinda like the Priest's collar, myself!

If you don't jump to conclusions, you can't jump anywhere! I have yet to meet anyone in the MINI/Mini/mini community that I wish I hadn't.
just kidding, Thinking of taking some Brews by August Schell, any opinions?

As for the lambics, just wait until someone tastes one and is blown away. Then you can make whatever deal you need to.
I have a cabrio so space is at a premium.
I'm going out and getting my swap beer this morning!
It looks like I'm bringing the Dominion Lager as well as the Oak Barrel Stout (yummy!)
Also some Richmond brews: a couple of Richbrau assortment packs and a bunch of Legend double dueces. (They're all unpastuerized so they'll have to stay in the cooler.)
Hitting the road tomorrow morn,
Ashley

They make some pretty good stuff though. Got quite drunk there on a business trip in 2005.

Woo Beer!
Any Brew Swappers who are doing the drive-in movie, you can park your MINI on the ball field early, by 5:30pm preferably. That info comes from Twister in the Drive-In thread.
I would suggest doing this as you'll get a primo spot.

BUT what do you do after the swap? If you've been drinking you aren't allowed to get behind the wheel so you'll end up carrying your beers anyway.
Personally carrying 2 cases of beer isn't a big deal (one on each shoulder). Any more than that and I definitely see an issue. When you get there just make a game plan.
I'll have 3 cases of Gordon Biersch of which one 6-pack is to be given as a prize and I'll also have a variety of swag items. Plus I have my bandolero belts filled with titanium beer bottle openers. I guess may need to hire two porters. :-)
I can promise you one thing though, I won't be drinking there.

Why no drinking?
I actually don't drink any alcohol whatsoever. But I am known to have the finest selection of beer in my house at dinners and parties. I in fact think some people only like me for my beer selections in my home.
So I do want to keep up the tradition and actually outdo myself thus my presence at the beer swap.

Here are my beer swap offerings, Gordon Biersch Maerzen and Gordon Biersch Hefeweizen.
Plus the folks at Gordon Biersch were nice enough to throw in a few t-shirts, hats and bottle openers for the Matt Beermeister give away.

Mmmmm, more Weizen to try
The Maerzen is really good. Their Hefeweizen is pretty good but I bet you like the Pyramid better.
Moskito, thanks for getting that stuff. Not sure how I'll give it away but I'm sure whoever gets it will appreciate it.
