Who is bringing the Troegs? Last year it was one of my faves, I'm hoping it's a stout.
Would love to make sure I get one.

Dude, excellent usage of proper spelling on the Maerzen
(Most folks don't know that ä = ae)

Pep, if you're reading this I have Dreadnaught (22oz bottle only) and 4 of the Alpha King's for you.

Also, it seems I'll be giving more sampling than swapping. Flossmore Brewing doesn't do bottles, but the BrewMaster antied up 4 growlers that I'll be bringing down.

Yup...coolers ready to go, man it's tempting to crack one open now.

Well I'll be honest and admit that I did not realize that ae stood for ä. BUT I did know that many brewers spell it as Maerzen.

AND Moskito beat me to it as he properly spelled it a post or two before mine.

Hey Ords....those look tasty. I'll have to find your table early.

I finally found Fordham Brewery's Beer without actually going to the brewery in Annapolis (it took me about 2 weeks to find it but I did)!!!! I could only get one case each of the Lager and the Copperhead Ale (that's all they had). Here is a link to Fordham's website: http://www.fordhambrewing.com/styles.html Here is a pic of both styles. I hope everyone likes it!!!

I have only been living in Maryland for about 3 years now, and I have never heard of Frederick Brewery. Come on by the DCMM table (that's were I will be sitting) and swap one of your beers for one of mine and you can tell me about the Frederick Brewery! Looking forward to meeting you.

Packed? Who's started any of that? I've got what, 14 hours before we depart? Which means that packing will commence in about 10 hours.

That is indeed how the German language functions.

ae instead of ä
ue instead of ü
oe instead of ö

Important to know when it comes to beer talk.

You are so incredibly awesome!
Thank you. I'll make sure you get a couple bottles of each type of homebrew I'm bringing.

Today of all days, the day I leave for MOTD and the Brew Swap, I go into a store 2 miles down the road from my apartment and find 850 different types of beer including just about everything everyone is bringing.

Next year when we drive out to MOTD (flying this year) I should be able to bring a buttload of beer and meet a bunch of the requests.

Thanks!

Matt,

The Brew Swap was awesome! Seeing and sampling all the quality beers out there was a ton of fun. This also turned into a great Mixer event for MOTD. Thanks for all the hard work. I hope you were able to get some sampling in yourself...

Here's to hoping there will a 3rd Annual Brew Swap!!!

Amen to that, brother! Matt, kick-*** job again this year. You put a *ton* of work into this thing and it does not go unappreciated! Having that huge space to set up shop in was fantastic. I had a lot of fun with Kirby and Chris doing the judging for the home brew contest, but I think I'll leave that to the experts next time. "Mmmm, that's good" doesn't really cut it when you need to rank them!

Had a great time, and left with twice as much beer as we started with (the guys at our table said 'we have to leave, take our beer'. So we did )

Looking forward to '08.

A thank you to everyone who turned out for the Brew Swap. I'll be posting my comments in a new thread shortly which you should check out.

Thanks for coming Ed. You and Mike better show up next year!

Yes there will be DBS 3.

Brian, thanks for doing the judging. It freed me up to mingle a bit. Still didn't get to do as much as I hoped but more than last year.

I had a great time and can't wait for next year!

Herbet, thank you so much for the kick *** bottle opener! I'm still tracking down that one that went missing. I shall reward your kindness with some really, really good beer next year so be sure to make sure you will be able to make DBS 3. And I met your girlfriend, she was VERY nice. I hope she can make it next year as well.

Hooray Beer!

Matt, my only regret about the Brewswap is that I was too busy "swapperizing" to get a chance to meet you. Thanks for all your hard work! Can't wait for next year!

P.S. Cherie says "hi"

Matt,

Thanks so much for all your hard work and time invested in making the Brew Swap such a great event! It was the first event I attended at MOTD that really broke down the barriers, got everyone talking and having a good time. I came away with more beer than I brought, I wonder how that happend? Im looking forward to next year already!

Amy

HAHAHA!!! Too funny, Tuls. Sorry I missed "goodbye" hugs to you and Stoo. Great to see you both. BTW, that first run up the Dragon with you was the best of the week.

That is awesome. I want any video you have.

Oh and I forgot to ask you all to send me links to pictures or the pictures themselves. I'd like to collect as many pictures from the Brew Swap as possible. Feel free to watermark them with your name if you want to make sure you get credit for the photo.
