Annette, you should get a shirt made that says "Get Your Stout On".

The 'beers' page of the website (www.dragonbrewswap.com) has been updated to reflect the info collected so far. Feel free to check it out.

I love a good dark beer as much as anyone - but I've found that I really appreciate the lighter refreshing ales, lagers, pilsners and so on much more in warmer weather. I haven't always been this way, but now during winter you will rarely find a light beer in my house. During summer it is rare to find a dark beer. (But don't get the idea that I'm drinking those tasteless American beers!) Right now I am finishing up a case of Stegmaier's Holiday Warmer - a wonderfully robust, heavy ale.

Even in Winter I tend to stay away from the dark beers. I've had a couple now which are ok but to me most aren't very balanced.

Wheat beers are incredibly refreshing in the heat. Capital Brewing has a new one John, Island Wheat. If you can find it locally try it. Best wheat beer I've had.

Matt, Capital Idea!! But I think I'll make a bumper sticker instead .

So I'm not sure if I should post here or on the beers we're bringing thread, but I'm looking for Paddock Wood Xocolatl Chocolate Porter. It's a Canadian Beer but I think you can get it along the border. I'd be willing to pay someone for their trouble of bringing it or whatever is legal.
If anyone has a line on this brew, I'd really appreciate a 6 pak or something
Man, I'm so ready for the brew swap!!

Hey Toasty,
The Coffee Oatmeal Stout is fairly expensive, I think if each of us brought 1 or 2 4 packs that would be sufficient. I actually had it in mind to set some aside for you and then remembered that you are in GA now. Guess we can share the wealth.
Take a look around Savannah and let me know what you are thinking of bringing, I can work around what you can find since Atlanta should have a few more varieties to choose from.

I am planning on bring Yuengling with me, but I may change my mind. I am going to see what else I can come up with, but I really love Yuengling. If I change my mind I will let you know. Can't wait to swap some beer with everyone! There is a Brewery outside of China Lake, CA (about an hour I think) called Indian Wells Brewery, if my memory recalls correctly. Anyways, I was hoping someone in the area would be bringing some. I would love to get my hands on their beer again. If so let me know and I might ask you to pick up an extra case just for me.

I'm heading out of town for a couple days. When I get back Friday evening I'll try and put the request list together and make sure those get covered.

Thanks for bringing the River Horse Hanna!

Well, so far we've only gotten feedback from a handful of you - but those who have responded are definitely interested. Of course I think they are way cool.

I have spoken with a few others who haven't seen the message at all or seem to have mistaken it for spam. You can check it all out here and please give us your feedback! We really don't have much time for taking orders and getting the items produced, so we need to gauge your interest quickly to know if we should proceed.

The Brew Swap is quickly approaching 200 registered! That is very nearly 2/3 of all the people currently registered for MOTD! Woohoo!

...And we're getting more positive feedback on the souvenir bottle opener idea!

Anyone coming from the New England area? I'm not sure yet if I'll be attending the brew swap or not (I know I know), but I'm looking for either Magic Hat Brewing Company and/or Long Trail Brewing Company. Obviously, I'm willing to pay for your troubles. Thanks!

Pep,

I'll just grab a couple of each mentioned above and bring them down with the rest.

I'd be interested in trying the Miller Chocolate Lager that is being tested in a few markets. Anyone seen it?

We have hit 200!

I'd still like to sell out this bad boy but I won't complain about having 200 people for the Brew Swap. I'm excited. Are you excited?

A lotta work between now and then but it's all going to turn out for the best with everyone having a good time.

I'll have to ask for everyone's patience between now and then because things at my work have just evolved and my workload will double, or triple, with a lot of planning going on. Translation, less time to work on the Brew stuff.

But rest assured it has my full attention. My boss has got to be tired of hearing me talk about it by now.
